Live from Providence...

Our PC fainted a little too late to get this news posted in time--but if you're in the Providence area, be sure to tune in Cat Country 98.1 to hear tonight's "Battle of the New Songs" results. Bucky's "A Different World" was one of the contestants in the battle. Listen in (the station streams online), and if the voting's still happening, follow the on-air instructions to cast your vote. Apologies for the late news!

Update: Bucky won the battle in Providence tonight! It looks as though this is an ongoing challenge and "A Different World" will be pitted against another song tomorrow night on WCTK. Five wins in a row, and the song is retired--one win down! We'll have more details on this one tomorrow evening before the next matchup begins, so come on back...

Bucky beat out Cole Diggs. It has the 5 in the row rule...so 4 more wins and he will be retired champ. Rascal Flatts was retired yesterday. Well done Bucky! I just tuned in right before results were read. :D

This is awesome. I wanted to let you know that Kix 106 (WGKX) in Memphis, TN played Bucky's song twice tonight in a contest also...and he won! All but about 2 calls were for Bucky!! His song will be played again tomorrow. I think it is 6:00 CST.

  7. We have heard of so many radio play he has won.Yay! Yes Winnie, I had called my DJ friend(rock station absolutely no help with playing Bucky lol)and he said the same thing as you. A new song could lay around for a bit while the station manager decides whether to play it or not So I will just request it once a day at varied times until I hear it lol
