By request, here's Bucky Covington dancing up a storm during last summer's tour; photo by Denise Bernadette. Thanks for writing!
Full post coming very soon, but in the meantime, here's a fun glimpse at the radio scene. We're counting down the hours until Bucky's single, "A Different World", is officially released. (Keep your local request line number handy!)
The song is now on the "Going for Adds" chart at Radio and Records, and it's moved up to 58 on the Mediabase airplay charts, with WKML in Fayetteville, XM, Sirius and KSKS in Fresno spinning it the most so far. (If you were tuned into XM's Highway 16 this morning, you got to hear Bucky's song at about 8:30 or so, and "A Different World" is playing on Sirius New Country even as I type. Nice way to start a Monday...)
Listening to Bucky top the WKML "Top 5 at 6" countdown would be a fun way to finish the workday, too! Be sure to request "A Different World" by sending an email to country@wkml.com, and listen online at 6 p.m. ET to find out whether Bucky's winning streak continues. (Be sure to cast your vote--click that link and request right now!)
More very soon...
This is getting so exciting! They were wondering on the Fox Boards about i-tunes. Have you heard anything about that?
ReplyDeleteNope, haven't heard a thing! This might be a radio-only single...but I bet if there's any iTunes news at all, it'll be at MJ's. She's great with the iTunes and online music news.
ReplyDeleteJust a few more hours! :)
Oh my goodness...with it being a holiday I totally forgot about voting and even tuning in. I just got in and clicked the link thanks to this blog and here Bucky is singing at me right now but do not know what number he is on the countdown. :O
ReplyDeleteOh my...he was #2...well done of course but well duh that I did not vote for the first time. I hope there was more than one vote difference between "Different World" and "She's Everything." ;O
ReplyDeleteOkay...#1 tomorrow for Bucky! :D
Did the DJ say anything about Bucky before he played the song? I missed the beginning as I just walked in the door and it was playing.
