Tonight's GAC Christmas concert was the last public show of the tour--tomorrow's Jacksonville show has been cancelled, so Thursday's private event in Roanoke Rapids is the final stop of what's been a wonderful journey all around. Kudos to Steve, Julie, Deana, Scott, Aaron, Bucky and the band and crew--feel free to do this again next year!
Good news--Bucky was feeling much better this evening. Apparently it really was a 24-hour bug after all; tonight he was in fine form, and from the sound of this evening's play-by-play thread, he was a big hit with the Macon crowd. (Glad to know he's rockin' in good health out there.)
Honeygirl has some lovely photo memories of the tour posted in her Flickr photoset, including several fresh shots from Monday's Chattanooga show. Be sure to check out her gorgeous snaps soon! (And if you're keen-eyed, you've spotted several familiar faces with Bucky over at the Nicogel meet and greet pages, too...)
And while Thursday's show might be private, a very kind Bucky fan and her family will be there as volunteers for World Vision--we'll keep a lookout for Blu's GAC memories as the tour wraps up in North Carolina.
So what's next? We're all on happy pins and needles about that formal label announcement, but while we're waiting for the confetti throw (and for Bucky's much-anticipated Mrs. Jones interview), there's still a bit of Covington music to enjoy before the holiday break begins in earnest--check out Rocky's official site for details and reservation info for his 12/22 show at Pontiac Pointe.
Finally, just a reminder--if you haven't signed up for Bucky's new mailing list at BuckyCovingtonMusic.com, get over there now and get in the loop! After his new label makes its announcement, things will almost certainly kick into high gear--the street team news, the fan club info, the CD timing, the whole nine yards. You'll certainly want to be well informed as the excitement officially begins...
More soon!
