This is the GAC Country Christmas Tour--link and ticket information below. Many thanks to Special Mother for the announcement, and to Honeygirl for the email update! (Honeygirl has started a thread about the tour, too, so check there for more info.) I'll fill in the blanks as fast as I can--stay tuned for more...
Hi Winnie,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are getting an early Xmas present with two dates in Ohio! This will be such a great way to introduce him to a much wider audience and create more buzz for the CD (just hope this doesn't delay the CD too much). I don't see any date that is an easy drive from NY, but I look forward to hearing all the reports.
Carol
Hi, Carol...
ReplyDeleteYou know, I hope they can squeeze in a date closer to you (remember how these tour schedules can change), and you'll be able to see him after all. You're right, it really is a stellar opportunity for him; a great way to connect with the country listeners/GAC viewers who might not have bothered with Idol at all. (We don't get the GAC channel here, but if you do, there could be some TV promo spots on the way, too.)
Ye old holiday budget might only allow for one show, but I do hope to be there. And if I get to the concert, I promise a nice long recap!
Take care--hope all's well in NY.
Winnie
Speaking of budgets, you need to save your pennies so you can ditch your circa 1989 Commodore PC. We need you blogging away for the tour without all those technical difficulties ;->
ReplyDeleteHee--so true! I'd have bought one this summer if it hadn't been for my favorite new singer and that tour of his... :)
ReplyDeleteCan't WAIT until next Wednesday. Things are also looking good for me to go to Chattanooga on the 18th, thats only about 2 hours from my house.
ReplyDeleteNext time we have a slow news week, we need to remember that it's only the "calm before the storm"!
Congratulations, Honeygirl--you know you've gotta tell us all about the shows! Next Wednesday'll be here before you know it...have a fantastic time!
ReplyDeleteAnd yep, it's becoming a Covington fan tradition, isn't it? Calm, then an happy "boom". It's a whirlwind, but it's fun!
