A little news sweep to start off the day...
There's a strong "calm before the party" mood at the official boards, where everyone's looking forward to recaps and stories from the Bucky fans who are headed to tonight's Sawyer Brown show at the Cabarrus Arena. And in a classic case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing, the Charlotte Observer mentioned Bucky twice this morning--first, as a mildly snarky aside in an already snarky Lifestyles section blurb about Chris Daughtry ("Now if only someone could find work for Bucky Covington"), then again in the concert listings in their Carolina Living section, which is topped with a bold headline reading Sawyer Brown: 7 p.m. Nov. 3, with Bucky Covington, Jeff Bates, Confederate... Guess the blurb writer needn't have worried after all! Good thing Bucky and his fans (and apparently, the Charlotte Observer) have a sense of humor; Bucky can definitely dish out the snark--as Kellie Pickler can attest!--as well as take it.
Speaking of Chris Daughtry, here's a heads-up for Chris and Bucky's many mutual fans--DaughtryOfficial.com is now up and running, and it looks fantastic. There's an already-hopping official board, as well as a small but sharp gallery with a few new photos of Chris and the band. Nicely done!
If you're looking for more Covington news in your inbox, you've got some excellent options--Team Covington's mailing list is a perfect way to stay on top of street-team topics, the Bucky Country newsletter is chock full of features, links and fun, and Rocky Covington's newsletter has the latest on Rocky's news and events. Sign up for all three, and stay in the know...
Back later today with a pre-show post. See you soon!
