Odds and ends

Ahhh--confirmation that Bucky is indeed hard at work in Nashville, busy recording that debut CD that we're all so eager to hear and enjoy...life is good. And just think--in less than twenty-four hours, Bucky will be on stage again in front of a concert-sized crowd for the first time since the Idol tour ended! Just in case your schedule's flexible, here's the Ticketmaster link for Sawyer Brown's Friday evening show at the Cabarrus Arena--be sure to stop by and tell us all about it...

(Edited to add an update from the new "Special Mother" thread. Mrs. Covington got a call from Bucky today; he'll be singing one song with Sawyer Brown on Friday night. She and Mr. Covington wanted to let the fans know "just in case it was too far for y'all to come down" for just one song. This appearance was such a sweet surprise for Bucky's fans that even one song sung live is a treat--and who knows what the encore might bring? I wouldn't leave early if I were going...)

There'll no doubt be plenty of recaps posted at the official boards on Saturday morning--and perhaps even very late Friday night. We'll stay up late tomorrow, too, so be sure to stop in for updates.

In the meantime, there's plenty of fun to be had, even if you aren't on your way to Concord. The deadline for submissions for the photo contest at RockyCovington.com is midnight, Friday 11/3, and the gallery of entries will be posted beginning 11/6. And there's now an additional prize--the winner will also receive a personally-autographed Rocky Covington Chasing Dreams CD, as well as a signed copy of his or her winning photo. Looking forward to seeing all the fantastic shots--goodness knows there are many truly talented Covington fans out there!

And while we're waiting for tomorrow's concert and that coming Fox 8 interview with Bucky, there's always the music poll at Moosak.com--a fun way to chat with some very witty Bucky fans and show some support. (Also, be sure to demand a Bucky Covington show in your area at Eventful, while you're in the voting spirit...)
