MJ's Big Blog leads off with an insightful entry about Bucky's friend
Chris Daughtry's debut album, which is scheduled for release tomorrow. And as always, the
comments on that entry are lively and varied, and bear some paying attention to. Will mainstream critics give ex-Idols (particularly non-pop Idols) a fair hearing? Can the Idols themselves reach out to non-Idol watchers--yes, there are people in America who couldn't pick Ryan Seacrest out in a police lineup--and turn them into fans? We've talked about that quite often here (and my feeling that Bucky is in a good position to gather many listeners outside the Idol atmosphere still stands), but it'll be exciting to see how the very talented Chris fares out in the "wild", so to speak. We're wishing him and his band much success, and congratulations!
As for Bucky's possible appearances in the near future,
there was a mention of a very tentative (as in unconfirmed) show in Rockingham on the 22nd, (looks like that's a Swamp Cat date, but Bucky won't be appearing--thanks, Happydays, for the update) and possible dates in Missouri in December--so far, there's been no
official word about new performances, but if /when that happens, we'll pass the word along ASAP. In the meantime, January (and Bucky's first single--fingers crossed) is just around the corner. Hang in there!
More later today...
