The CMAs aren't the only country music awards in the spotlight this Monday afternoon; Country Weekly has posted their annual Reader's Choice Awards survey, where "you--the fans--get to have your say". Unlike the last time we visited the magazine's survey page, Bucky's not mentioned by name as a candidate, but most of the categories have write-in options.At first glance, the "Just for Fun" categories seem to be the ones to browse. "Star You'd Like to Have a Beer With"? "Favorite Hair (Male)"? There are many great awards to choose from*, but the most satisfying win to see in print might be that "Superstar of the Future" award--a nice vote of confidence for our favorite "new on the scene" singer, don't you think?
The voting is happening now, and the results will be printed in Country Weekly's January 1st, 2007 issue (which will hit the stands on December 18th, according to the site.) Check out all the categories, and have fun! (Thanks to Sara and Happydays for the heads-up.)
*That fifth-from-the-bottom category? Oh, my! That's all I'm gonna say about that one. (Ahem.) More later!

that much about mainstream country music.
I wrote in a lot of the answers.
And the catagory you mentioned? Yipes,
well I just had to put Colin Farrell, because
Im not sure about our boy! He's not really
an exhibitionist , which I do think makes him
even more appealing!

ReplyDeleteI'm kind of a country music fan (among many other genres--I have a really weird CD collection!), but even knowing who everyone was, I still couldn't write Bucky in for that "notable" category...he really does seem to have a modest streak. (I agree that that's pretty refreshing.)
