First of all, the Country Weekly poll is still taking votes--so be sure to pop in there and give Bucky some applause! It's going to be a blast to read about his CD in the magazine when it comes out...
Otherwise, it's a fairly quiet day so far; there's a last great Wilkes-Barre recap freshly posted at TWoP that's well-worth checking out. (Bucky only gets a one-line mention, but it's very positive.) And speaking of the tour, here's a link from Idolforums that I think I might have missed--a very kind fan from NC uploaded some excellent videos from the Norfolk show this weekend, including the Bucky and Kellie "You're the One that I Want" duet and "Patience". Sweet memories...enjoy!
And a local Bucky fan shared a brief mention of an interview that Bucky and Rocky did with WLWL 770 AM radio in Rockingham--she mentions that "the music was great" and that Bucky will be recording soon. Here's the thread--we're all hoping for more details! (Many thanks to all the hometown fans for helping us out-of-towners with fun newsflashes.)
Also, while we're taking about local fans, here's an incredible site I wish I'd seen and linked earlier--Carolina Music Men is a fantastic overview of the current Carolina live country/rock scene, with a look at local venues as well as introductions to many Carolina artists and bands with strong followings. If you're curious about the scene that brought us the Covington Brothers --and will bring us many more musical delights--you'll definitely want to stop in and check it out. The current home page features a tribute to Southern Thunder's Donnie Forbis, who lost his battle with melanoma on September 30. (You might remember our post about Mr. Forbis back in August.) Our condolences to Mr. Forbis' family, friends and loved ones.
Back later tonight...
Tracy, nice work on the cover! A black and white photo for the CD might add a bit of drama. :)
ReplyDeleteThat black and white look is a classic--very striking.
ReplyDeleteAm just thrilled about the covers this week!
