Update on tonight's show (and a bit from Bucky)

Whitney Matheson--USA Today's blogger-on-the-scene--just had a quick word with Bucky:

He says the best thing about these shows is “not getting judged.” When I asked him about the design on his T-shirt, he shrugged and said he just threw it on. “I was wearing a Corona shirt earlier,” he said, adding that it wouldn't exactly be appropriate for today's festivities.

(Gotta love the sartorial statement!) There's also a confirmation of the "You're the One That I Want" duet with Kellie Pickler--who, according to MJ's Big Blog, might not be feeling her best tonight.

Also from USA Today's Idol Chatter blog, news of a slight change in tonight's lineup:

Katharine McPhee will not be performing tonight or July 6 because of "severe bronchitis and laryngitis."

According to a statement, a doctor has ordered the runner-up "total voice rest."

"I'm disappointed, and I am sorry to disappoint my fans who will be attending the start of the American Idols Live tour," McPhee said in the statement.

Here's to a speedy recovery for Katharine and for Kellie--get well soon! More news later...
