Quick update...

I try not to repeat photos too closely, but y'all just loved this one, so here it is! By many, many requests, the Encores press photo, again

A little news sweep for a sunny Wednesday:

Bucky's FoxNow interview is up and available for viewing; they say it's an "exclusive", so there might--maybe--be some new information there. (Then again, it's Fox-sponsored, so controversial content might be about zero...)

If you're a Rocky Covington fan, you're in for a major treat today! The talented and generous "BluIsDixieGirl" has a gift for us at the official boards; go to the latest posts on the thread to find updated directions. (And thanks!) Also, if you missed this fun Boston Globe article yesterday, be sure to catch it now--Bucky's appeal is definitely an all ages thing, from the sound of it.

Remember the much-screencapped image of Bucky posing for a photo shoot in a brown leather jacket from a results show a few weeks back? From the looks of the Encores press kit, there's a good chance those shots might turn up in this year's summer tour program. (Disclaimer: I don't know this seller and have no financial or social interest in that auction--and I'm more inclined to use any spare $24.99 [!] towards an extra concert seat. But that photo, even fuzzy, is quite nice. Bucky's rather photogenic, yes?)

Speaking of photographs--head over to ForeverYoursFoto.com now for tons of lovely Bucky Bash photos and portraits. If you're fortunate enough to have been there and posed for a portrait with Bucky, there are ordering directions on the site. (And if you didn't get a chance to go, there's still much, much discussion and recapping at the official boards--including a thread about making Bucky Bash a yearly event. Very interesting, indeed...)

Last but not least--did anyone else really, really wish Bucky could have been there for Elvis night, singing...well, just about anything? Sigh. I truly miss our musical Tuesday night treat. Two weeks until the finale, everybody. Hang in there.

More later...

I think Bucky is the only one who could have done Burning Love last night and made it NOT sound like karaoke. But Simon would have said it did anyway, so oh well *grrr*. <3

  3. My pleasure, Vickie, and hi! :-) And yes--Bucky would have been so much fun on Elvis night. I'd have loved to hear him do "Suspicious Minds" and "A Little Less Conversation", just because I think his voice would bring out the beautiful mournfulness of the first song (yeah, I'm still hooked on "Can't Be Wrong"--love the raw, plaintive tone), and the flirtatious growly vibe of the second one (a la "Real Good Man"). Ah, what might have been...

  5. That makes three of us!

Wow--just wow. Did not see that one coming.

(But hey--at this stage of the game, there are no losers, as corny as that sounds--the chance of any of them going unsigned is about zero. Still shocked, though!)
