I miss those Monday nights and Tuesday mornings when we had song spoilers and general nervous anticipation across the Bucky boards...right now, if you're not one of the lucky bunch planning a trip to the Bucky Bash on Saturday, it's pretty much lullsville. So with that in mind, we'll do a quick news sweep and get ready for the next big events after the Bash--the finale, the ticket rush and the pre-tour publicity blitz.
Over at Idolforums, they're sharing strategies for getting front row seats, discussing the possibility of tour packages popping up again this year, and musing about meet and greets. (From what I can gather, being a hardcore American Idol fan can get pretty expensive...)
TWoP's Bucky thread is pretty much in siesta mode--occasionally someone will pop in with a "snooze alarm" post--but the observations from veteran concert-goers are worth a look-see. (And if you're still following the show pretty closely, there's always the highly addictive Grassy Knoll thread--conspiracy theories and intelligent cynicism abound. The link goes to more recent posts; if you'd like to catch up on the Bucky-related observations, the posts pertaining to this season start here. Very interesting reading, in retrospect...)
Working on a mega-tour and ticket post for tomorrow; I have a half-day off (finally!) and will blissfully blog a little more intensely. See you later today!
Awww, its ok. Things will pick up soon enough. Do you know anything about what songs Bucky might sing on the tour?? <3
ReplyDeleteNot a clue, unfortunately...I was there for the Season Two concerts, and apparently that year and the next year, the concerts were staged with a little more imagination than last year's show, according to the TWoP posters (i.e., not so much a repeat of what you'd already seen on television.) I'm hoping that Bucky will be able to sing some completely different songs--not just "Superstition", etc.
ReplyDeleteIf memory serves, "ET" usually has a big promo/preview about the Idols tour just before the singers get on the road--a fun way to get an idea of the musical content. Hope they'll do it this year...
