Running like the wind...

A very quick sweep of the scene on a busy Sunday:

Bucky's charming black Lab Slim has made his show business debut. (We're dog people here, though, so the "awwww" was a given--Slim is a cutie.) Today's Richmond County Daily Journal has the details about the upcoming "Bucky Bash" in Rockingham:

Bucky Bash will feature several non-profit food vendors, including the Richmond County Band Boosters Association (hot dogs and hamburgers), L.J. Bell School (popcorn and candy) and the Richmond County Humane Society (barbecue sandwiches).
Caddy Wampus, featuring Bucky’s twin Rocky, will perform from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Other band members include Eric Whitfield, Sammy Glidewell, Scooter Still and Jimbo Bullard. The band has agreed to donate its services to this Bucky Bash and all others that follow as a means of supporting Bucky, Williams said.

Sounds like fun to us!

There's some true graphic talent at IDF--if you're looking for a stylish Bucky Covington wallpaper or two, look no further. (A new picture thread is in progress there, as well.) And from the Fox boards via Idolforums, an extremely funny post by Elliott Yamin's girlfriend about what Bucky and Elliott were up to in the green room during the early part of 21st Century night. (Edited to add the quote and remove the link--looks like the original post was deleted.)

I almost fell off the couch at baileys when Ace pulled that shirt back and rubbed up on his scar,, Elliott said they were in the Green Room and E started to sing his song and then lifted up his jeans and started rubbing his scar from when he broke his ankle,,and then said bucky started singing his song and lifted up his jeans and rubbed his scar on his knee,, he said the whole group was rolling on the floor laughing,, I talked to E tonite and he told me that,, lol

If only someone had caught that on camera!

More theme murmurs keep turning up, and the newest one's even more unlikely than the confirmed Queen night. This New York Post Page Six gossip item might be another case of lingering April Fool's madness--or not.

We'll be back later tonight--take care out there!

  2. I can just see those two now--hee!

You know, it sounds stressful at times, but often I envy the Idol singers so much. What an amazing bonding experience that must be! Kind of a combination of college co-ed frat (complete with hazing and razzing, obviously) and boot camp and lottery-winners' convention... =)

I hope someday some ex-Idol finalist gets out of the no-doubt draconian "shhhsh clause" and writes a really good book about his or her experiences. (Not Corey Clark, though. =)
