Bucky Bash news and more...

This morning's Richmond County Daily Journal has more detailed information on Saturday's big Bucky Bash in Rockingham:

Richmond County’s "American Idol" sensation Bucky Covington will greet fans from near and afar next Saturday during Bucky Bash.

The free event, which runs from 1 to 9 p.m. on Harrington Square in downtown Rockingham, is Richmond County’s official "Welcome Home, Bucky!" party and is sponsored by the City of Rockingham, Rockingham Downtown Corp. and the Richmond County Daily Journal.

Bucky will meet fans and pose for photographs in the Richmond Community Theatre at the following times:

1:45 to 2:30 p.m.
3 to 3:45 p.m.
6:15 to 7 p.m.

At 5:30 p.m., there will be a brief program on the main stage, during which Bucky will address the fans — many of whom are coming from out-of-town and out-of-state. The Daily Journal has received e-mails from fans from such far away states as Georgia, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Maine and Indiana saying they’re coming to Bucky Bash.

(And if you'd like a first-hand report from the party, be sure to visit Team Covington--it looks like my fellow Bucky-blogger Kathy will be right there to enjoy the fun!)

Meanwhile, there's a little more news on the tour front--a Louisville, Kentucky date has been added, and our tour schedule post has been updated again with additional information. We're still keeping an eye out for presale info...

A couple of remodeled destinations online: Bucky's page at Wikipedia has been expanded and edited quite thoroughly. (We're guessing the most recent editor shares our enthusiasm.) And as Team Covington noted earlier today, Bucky's official site has been revamped as well, with lots of new images (including a great photo of Bucky and his wife Crystal) on the front page, news briefs, and lovely fan-made banners and graphics incorporated into the pages. (If you're a little late to the party and you haven't checked out Bucky's beautiful original songs, click here now and enjoy.)

More later!
