Almost party time

First things first--via TWoP (yes, we know there are other sites on this intraweb thingie, but we like TWoP very much!), two great links to peruse. A tip of the hat to the talented folks at Rawkhands.org for this KIIS-FM Ryan Seacrest/Bucky Covington interview; and be sure to check out this recap of a semi-revealing phone conference with Idol's executive producer Ken Warwick at Access Atlanta's American Idol Buzz blog (scroll down to 4/24 post.) He revealed that "no finalist can release an album until three months after the winner’s album comes out." (Other things, "within reason" are permissible, with an okay from the Fox folks.) At any rate, that gives us some idea of how long we'll have to wait for that debut CD...

One of the "other things" that's on the agenda is the biggest Bucky Bash ever; R. Shawn Lewis of the Richmond County Daily Journal says it's scheduled for May 6th at Rockingham's Cole Plaza, with live music (likely 1 pm to 9 pm, he states) , food, vendors, and meet-and-greets/photo ops with Bucky. (As you can tell from that thread, there's going to be a sizable group of out-of-towners in attendance...wish we could go. It's well worth the road trip if you're within driving or flying distance.)

And if you can't get there next month, Bucky and company will be on their way to you this summer. (Or if you want to jump the gun a little, the maze that is the official American Idol site has yet another "win a ticket to the finale" contest posted, this one tied to a new teen-oriented movie. There's a "lucky moments from the Greensboro auditions" video that we can't see on our ancient PC; does that contain the same long lost clip of Bucky's audition that's been floating around this past week?)

More news later!

regarding the pictures of him and kellie, there's a gossip mag where i live that put right on the cover (at the top right).. they put the comment, "KELLIE AND BUCKY DATING!" and inside, they said things like how they flirt all the time and everywhere, and how they sneaked out for some starbucks coffee.. and there was an extra comment about bucky having a wife (it's true) and the last commment was "back off kellie!" ... i don't know if you've seen it, but if you wanna, i could scan it in for ya.

  3. Just checked the highlights of Greensboro audition link - no Bucky. Those gossip rags make up a story about any two attractive people who show up in a photo together. What happened to Kellie and Constantine? or Simon? or Chris? or Katherine? I have seen them all linked! LOL! Bucky looks like he is missing a lower tooth in that picture. I've noticed it before, but it's hard to detect since his usual smile only shows uppers. I think Carrie and Bo's albums came out in November and December, so hopefully we are looking at February for Bucky's.

  4. Hi, Anon 1:09--glad to be back! I went into a panic when Blogger.com wouldn't let me publish...guess I'm hooked on blogging?

And hello to Anon 4:53 and Julie; I haven't seen the gossip article, but to me that photo has such a "friendly coworkers go for a caffeine fix" vibe to it that I think it's funny a gossip mag would even go there. You're very kind to offer a scan, but that's okay--don't go to any trouble. I think the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. Thanks for sharing that, though--it was interesting to hear that Bucky's made the gossip pages already. Guess that's the mark of emerging celebrity status, for better or for worse.

And I do remember the Kellie/Constantine, Kellie/Simon, Kellie/Katherine etc. rumors--if Kellie had that full a social life in RL, would she ever have time to rehearse? (The latest speculative 'ship I heard about was Taylor/Katharine...hee.)

Thanks also for the info on the timing of Carrie and Bo's albums. February sounds like a long way away, but a good album will be worth the wait, however long it takes.
