It's always a treat to get a long, detailed, funny recap of a great Idol concert and a meeting with Bucky from a true "Buckaneer", and this one's a beauty. Thanks, Happydays, for sharing your happy day in Atlanta! Be sure to read the whole thread--there's a sweet anecdote about Ace Young, a review of the LMBO show, and a mention of photos to come. (Edited to add: Happydays' photos are here, and they're beautiful. I especially liked this dramatic "Patience" portrait. Thanks again, and enjoy!)
A front-row-seated fan at IDF shared some fantastic Atlanta snaps in this thread--here's my favorite, but they're all just lovely. A few posts later, another talented photographer linked to her large Photobucket gallery from the show. (Bucky's solo shots are on the second page; this soulful "Patience" photo is especially striking, as is this "Living in America" closeup, and this is one of the cutest shots of the Bucky-and-Kellie "dip" ever.
But wait, there's more! Also in that thread, a kind videographer posts a YouTube link--she captured many of the performances that night. Kudos to the Atlanta fans for all your hard work! Looks like you had a terrific time...
And if you'd like to have a terrific time in Huntington, tonight's your night. There might be a great last minute seat for you at Ticketmaster, or head to Heiner's Pullman Square Concert Series this evening for a chance to win a pair of tickets--here are the details on the contest today. Good luck!
Edited to add a big thank you to Becky for a heads-up on updates to the Bucky thread at Rawkhands.org--Sunscreen and the kind posters there do an amazing job of compiling photos, links and goodies. If you haven't stopped in there lately, go now and have a good time catching up!
More soon--have a magnificent Thursday...
Oh my you have me thudding all over the place this morning lol Great finds! I love that Bucky Kellie Dip photo! SO excited about WB!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathy--believe me, I have a lot of fun looking for new photos. :) Bucky and Kellie really need to record a duet sometime...they look like they have a really good time on stage.
ReplyDeleteCannot wait for W-B! I am still frantically attempting to get my schedule (and disposable cash) together but it will soooo be worth it.
I know I have been budgeting all morning lol
ReplyDeleteBudgeting is no fun, but honestly, sometimes in life we just have to splurge, you know? You'll be glad you did--those videos are a sure sign of a great time ahead, and it's so cool that your husband enjoys Taylor and LMBO too! (Hey, I might be enjoying ramen noodles all November after paying for this trip, but it'd be a small price to pay.)
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm thinking. I was going to try to go to the Idol concert that night too (we know for sure Bucky will be there for that) but with so many people coming to the Woodlands, I'm afraid the venue will fill up before I can get from the concert to the afterparty. Yikes. Maybe I should forget about the Idol show? It isn't like I haven't seen it before--ahem.
(Yes, I am embarrassed...another show. Could I be any more of a fan-girl?)
lol yes I know I htink we are just doing the after party and hope lol
ReplyDeleteAre you able to download the video of Chris and Bucky from Houston that is posted on MJ's? Oh man, that is the best one that has surfaced from all the Rat Pack outings. The quality is amazing and Bucky is just so funny. Chris is pretty lost up there and gamely tries to keep up, but Bucky is dancing, headbanging, microphone twirling, goofing on LMBO, giving shout-outs to the audience and just having a blast. i am just hoping that we get a little taste of that in WB.
ReplyDeleteIf you do go to the concert, just leave after Patience and get your butt to the Woodlands.
Carol, you know I'm eager to see that--live and on video! Thanks for the reccomendation. My PC is coughing again as I speak, but with a few reboots and some good luck I hope to check that video out.
ReplyDeleteAnd I only have about a 50/50 chance of going to the Idol concert at this point, but if I make it, I'll definitely get my butt to the Woodlands after "Patience"--maybe even after intermission!
