Word has just come in about the April 21st Bucky Covington show at Roxy's Big Country Saloon in Cape Girardeau, MO--looks like this one's cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. (Showclix is posting an "Online sales are currently paused" message on the box office page.) If you bought your tickets at a brick and mortar outlet, refunds can be obtained from the original point of purchase, and all tickets purchased through Showclix will automatically be refunded to the card used to buy the tickets. Quick news: A memory from Terre Haute, Bucky Covington in Kansas City tonight, and a new "I Wanna Be That Feeling" review

Bucky Covington's new record label, eOne, posted this video at YouTube, and their excellent description says it all: "Bucky Covington recently participated in the Veteran's Day Parade in Terre Haute, IN and helped present a check for $2500 to a firefighter's family in need. Bucky is heavily involved with BLEVE Entertainment and the IFF and FOP charities." Thanks to for sharing this moment with all of us.

Update: A photo of Bucky with Bleve founder (and former police officer) Mickey Milam, WTHI's Barry Kent and WTHI's Eric Michaels is part of Country Aircheck today; check it out here (scroll down).

Bucky Covington's upcoming new single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling", gets a solid review by writer Amy Blizzard at DixieStreams.com today. Among her observations about the song, this stood out:

'I Wanna Be That Feeling' manages to place opposite qualities into one song and still make the result a pleasant one. For example, the single harbors an easygoing vibe without losing the underlying, ingrained edge in the arrangement which is vaguely reminiscent of Christian Kane. It also presents romantic, heartfelt sentiment without being trite, sappy or overdone.

Although the clarity of the lyrics presented in the vocals occasionally suffers, Bucky Covington nonetheless proves he has gained power as a singer over the years. 'I Wanna Be That Feeling' is a palatable, fun single and marks the start of a fine return to the country music scene.

If you haven't heard Bucky's latest soon-to-be-hit yet, click right here--and keep an ear out at your favorite local country station later this winter!

Bucky Covington (with Rocky Covington on percussion at right) on stage in Hillsboro, KS; thanks to the very talented Judy Lang for this classic shot.

Bucky's also featured at NewCountry.nl, a country music site based in the Netherlands and written in Dutch. His video for "A Different World" is in the spotlight on the front page today, and a link to an audio-only video of "I Wanna Be That Feeling" can be found in the "Op Dit Moment Bekeken" section of their video page. Nice to see some international attention, yes?

Closer to home, you can enjoy Bucky and his band live tonight in Kansas City at The Beaumont Club (bring an unwrapped, new $10 or up toy for a needy child to exchange for a ticket to The WOLF's Acoustic Christmas Concert ) and in Tremont, IL on Saturday night (12/3) at the Twisted Spoke Saloon. (The 12/2 show at 88 Broadway in Urbana, IL appears to have been cancelled: eTix is showing it as a cancellation and tickets have been taken off sale. If you were planning to attend, your best bet is to contact the venue at (217) 954-1008, (217) 359-6960 or info@fluidevents.org for the latest news.)

We'll be back with more soon--enjoy the evening!

Possible cancellation: Bucky Covington at 88 Broadway (12/2)

It looks as though the Bucky Covington show scheduled for tomorrow (12/2) at 88 Broadway in Urbana, IL may have been cancelled: eTix is showing it as a cancellation and tickets have been taken off sale, and it is no longer listed on the 88 Broadway event calendar or on Bucky's official site. We'll post any new info as it becomes available. Huge thanks to the kind elf who passed along the news--WLink
