Bucky Covington at The Boot and CMT.com, Help the Good Guys reminder, tomorrow's appearances and more...

If you pick up the Special IAFF Edition of Good Guys at the Help the Good Guys store, this will be one of your rockin' bonus tracks!  Enjoy Bucky Covington and his band's live and loud version of "Evel Knievel", as captured by the very generous Josh Bannen at YouTube.  Bucky's tour schedule is available at his official site; snag that hot CD now, and get to a show this fall!

Bucky Covington's fans have two new (and excellent) interviews to enjoy today, as we celebrate this week's Good Guys album release.  Bucky spoke to The Boot about his new music, his hands-on approach to his career, and the ups and downs of being on Idol:
Things get so fast on that show, you can easily get caught up in it. But the good outweighs the bad by far. Everything that show's done for me, it puts a name with a face and a sound. People hear my song on the radio and immediately can see my face, and that's a wonderful thing to be able to have. But the double-edged part of it would be because you're on a major TV show as an amateur, people form an opinion of you, so years later when you grow it can be tough to reformulate that opinion. But I'm very glad I did it. And very proud of everything I did.

At CMT.com, Bucky had high praise for Shooter Jennings and Kellie Pickler, and a gracious message for you:
"Just a big thank you to the fans," he chuckles. "We been gone for two years handling a bunch of absolute nonsense and waiting on lawyers to -- if I can say it -- get the hell out of the way.

The CNN Impact Your World segment featuring  IAFF members from Chattanooga, TN Local 820 and Columbia, TN Local 4381, Camp Hope campers and Bucky Covington is now available on YouTube--see it here.

Both of the articles highlighted his work with Help the Good Guys, and he shared an important reminder--so we will, too.   A portion of the proceeds from the first week of Good Guys album sales goes to the organization, which assists injured firefighters and their families.  In addition, if you buy it from the HelpTheGoodGuys.com store, you'll get two bonus tracks--"Ole Kentuck" and "Evel Knievel".  (Lots of very cool HTGG stuff in the store, as well--check it out!)

Bucky will be appearing on Direct TV's Nick and Artie Show at 1am EST September 13  (podcasts will be available at the show's site, and Bucky Tweeted that there will be "multiple re-airs the next day") and on Fox News LIVE at 2:40pm EST tomorrow  (September 13th).  He also has an upcoming appearance at Us Weekly, and if you think your world is spinning, check out his photo from the Us set!

Speaking of photos, Bucky shared quite a few new ones at Facebook--if you haven't been there lately,  go see what you've been missing!  (Bet you can't help smiling back at this one...)

We'll be back very soon--for now, join us in showing Bucky, Shooter and  "Drinking Side of Country" some love at  GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack and CMT's Top 20 Countdown. See you ASAP!
