Weekend preview: Bucky Covington at the Salamonie Summer Festival and DoughBoyz (updated: Top Ten on GAC!)

"I Wanna Be That Feeling", live in West Virginia--this excellent concert video by was taken in Cottageville, and Bucky Covington's got a few new WV concert dates coming up very soon!  Click here to see Bucky's events calendar at his official site.

From the sound of things on K105's Twitter, there's a power outage happening in Warren, IN at post time--but the show is still on!  Bucky Covington and his band will rock the Salamonie Summer Festival at 8 pm Friday, according to the latest word from the station. It may be a bit more of an adventure than planned due to terrible storms in the area, so keep listening and keep an eye on the station's Twitter and Facebook for the latest updates.

On Saturday, Bucky hits Dough Boyz in Ashville, OH for a live and loud performance--call (740)983-069 for tickets and get ready for a wild time in a hot intimate venue!

No way to soften this next bit of news, so we'll deliver it with speed and move right along:  Bucky's beautiful summer single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling", hit a bump in the road on Music Row's Country Breakout Chart this week.  We're totally diggin' this song (and I'm guessing that if you're reading a blog called "Buckymania", you might be, too)  so we'll be voting for it at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT Pure's Pure 12 Pack and asking our local country stations to play it, as always--feel free to join us! The music video's been added to CMT.com as well, in case you're wondering what the buzz is all about...  (Updated to add that Bucky's sunny video moved up to #9 at GAC, as noted on his Twitter profile late Friday night--keep on voting!)

We'll turn it over to our good friend Fran at Buckytown USA--she's got an always-excellent weekend roundup of info and events on tap each Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning. Stay safe out there!
