A tidbit about Bucky Covington's new album, and winter concert dates via Buckytown...

Thanks again to the very kind Lacypony for this great photo of Bucky Covington on stage in Yakima, WA.

There's a little bit of buzz about a possible cut on Bucky Covington's long-awaited second album--it looks like once again, Bucky's working with some of Nashville's very finest. From esteemed singer/songwriter Pete Sallis' bio on Reverbnation: " In 2009, Pete got a cut on a song called “Good To Joe”, which was produced by Mac McAnally for the upcoming Bucky Covington album."

Mac McAnally
is the legendary singer-songwriter/multi-instrumental session musician/producer behind many, many country hits...including the #1 "Thank God for You", which he co-wrote with Sawyer Brown's Mark Miller. (Yep...this album's gonna be well worth the wait!) No word yet on a final track list for Bucky's return to the country album charts, but we're all ears.

Be sure to bring your ears (and a few good friends) to Columbia, MO's Snorty Horse Saloon on October 8th. Bucky and his band are now listed on the Snorty Horse's Shows page, and tickets for the concert ($15) are available now. The venue's Twitter is a busy one, too--ticket giveaways seem to be part of the fun, so follow them and keep an eye out for your chance to win.

Rocky Covington serenades the fans at the Central Washington Fair in Yakima. Thanks again to Lacypony!

The Snorty Horse date is not yet listed on Bucky's official concert schedule, but it's looking pretty good--and our friends at Buckytown USA have filled in some blanks about a few other technically unlisted but likely winter dates. Bucky will return to the Holiday in Olney, IL on Friday, November 11th, according to the Olney Events website. (We love the blurb for this one--Rocky Covington and Ducky Medlock get namechecked as "our favorites!") Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday, September 28th at 5:00 pm) in the lobby of the Holiday or online, so bookmark this page and get ready for a great night!

The following evening, party with Bucky and the band at The Pulse in Jacksonville, IL; tickets will be $15 in advance and $20 at the door, according to Fran. The venue doesn't seem to have an official site, but their Facebook is pretty lively; Fran lists (217) 243-3555 as the number to call for info. (Big thanks again to her for the news.)

Have a great day--we'll see you soon!
