Steve Cook and Bucky Covington on stage at the Iowa State Fair; many thanks to Judy Lang for this terrific photo.Just a couple of quick concert notes today: Steve Cook (via Twitter) has confirmed Bucky Covington's Dec. 29th concert stop at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nashville, but no word yet about ticket info--here's hoping it'll be posted by the time you read this!
And here's an update on 93.1 The Wolf's New Year's Howlin' Eve show in Winston-Salem--two different hotel/dinner/party packages (as well as a party-only option) are still available, according to the station's latest blog. Bucky's fans also have a chance to win a pair of tickets to the show, courtesy of TwinCityQuarter.com; they're holding a "worst Christmas gift" contest, and it's happening now. Send a description of the worst gift you ever had the pleasure of receiving to info@twincityquarter.com by Friday, Dec. 18th for your chance to win. (Good luck!)
A couple of evening updates just came in--a very good friend of the blog just wrote to tell us that tickets for the Hard Rock Cafe date in Nashville will go on sale Friday, 12/18 at TicketAlternative.com. There's no listing for the show there as of post time, but bookmark that site, y'all. This is one rave-up you don't want to miss...
And from Bucky's MySpace concert calendar comes word of a new January concert date--he'll be performing at Luckie's Tavern in Baltimore on 1/16 as part of WPOC's benefit for St. Jude's. Details--you guessed it--as they become available.
Much more news this evening, after the real life madness is done--for now, be sure to give "Gotta Be Somebody" a round of applause at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Pure 12-Pack, and on the request line at your local country station, too. See you soon!--Winnie
