Bucky Covington on stage at the Iowa State Fair; thanks to the very kind Judy Lang for the shot. Here are a couple of news notes to start off your Sunday:
Bucky Covington will play one of those lively acoustic shows in Michigan this week, according to B93's website. From their "Roofsit 2009" page: "Wednesday, October 28, 2009, Bucky Covington will perform free at Tractor Supply in Cedar Springs between 6 and 7pm." You'll find Tractor Supply at 4011 17 Mile Rd NE in Cedar Springs--stop in and enjoy the fun on Wednesday evening!
Bucky's new status as Celebrity Ambassador for the Arthritis Foundation in Tennessee has made the headlines today. The Chattanoogan reports:
Lyric Street recording artist, Bucky Covington, has agreed to participate as the "Celebrity Ambassador" for the Arthritis Foundation, Tennessee Chapters, five Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk events, with one taking place in Chattanooga.
The Jingle Bell 5K will take place on Nov. 21, at 10 a.m., beginning at the Chattanooga Riverwalk, Shelter #3.
The other 5K runs in Tennessee are listed in the full article, and the story also notes that "participants tie jingle bells to their shoelaces, don festive holiday costumes and join friends and neighbors in support of the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to prevent, control and cure arthritis and related diseases." (Not sure if Bucky will be festively-dressed, but it sounds like a fun time for a good cause...)
More soon--enjoy your Sunday morning!
