It's been a long and somewhat languid summer (especially on the country charts!) but the pace is picking up. Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" starts September sporting the biggest bullet we've seen in weeks, and both Bucky and his label are backing the song with some action in the form of added concert dates, new trade ads and--coming up--a much-anticipated music video.
The big question is--can we hang in there, too? Yep, we can, and we've proven it. Bucky's first hit, "A Different World", made its radio debut in December, 2006 and hit its #6 peak in July, 2007. As frustrating as they are, long chart rides are nothing new for us...and from the size of that bullet, it looks like the ride is getting sweeter with the new season. See you on the request lines...

Thanks again!Most of today's news came in last night--we wanted to do an autumn concert roundup, but new dates are popping up and/or being confirmed so fast we'll just go with the flow! Here's a quick look at the live fun in store this week...so far:
- Tomorrow, Bucky and company play a Signature Series show at the KJUG Courtyard in Visalia, CA: buy tickets ($10) online at the station's site for will-call pick up, and have a great time!
- The busy week continues with a 21-and-up show at The Wrangler in Elk Grove (Sacramento area) on Thursday, 9/3: tickets, $20, are available via eTix.
- San Jose fans can catch Bucky and the band at the Rodeo Club on Friday, 9/4; tickets are available at KRTY, 750 Story Road in San Jose. They'll be $10 for the first 100, $15 advance during regular business hours (9 to 5, Monday-Friday) and $20 at the door.
- On Saturday, 9/5, get ready to rock with Bucky and company at the Inter-Mountain Fair in McArthur, CA; call the fair at (530)336-5695 for tickets.
