Sunday happenings: Bucky Covington's fall road trip comes East, a little "Rewind" and more...

Bucky Covington's fans in Elk Grove, CA got up-close-and-personal with him and his rockin' band during a rare intimate club show at the Wrangler last week; many thanks to Minnie for this terrific shot.

There's not much news on this beautiful holiday weekend, so we'll share a couple of quick reminders:

Bucky Covington's winners-only US99 Live Country at Joe's show is just around the corner, and if you're in the WUSN listening area, you've still got chances to tune in and win your seats. Bucky and his band will rock the Chicago venue on September 8th; after that, they head West yet again for the Navajo Nation Fair in Window Rock, AZ on the 11th. The York Fair in York, PA is the place to be on the 13th, as Bucky and the band take the WGTY Great Country Radio Stage. (Concert tickets are included with fair admission--enjoy the show!)

On the radio front, Bucky's "I Want My Life Back" (#32 with a bullet at Mediabase this morning) has probably already graced your speakers at least once today, courtesy of the fine folks at Kix Brooks' American Country Countdown and Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40. Check Radiotime for streaming stations, or for repeat airtimes in your hometown. (Once the pre-recorded fare is done, feel free to request Bucky...)

Can't "Idol rewind" much farther back than this! Bucky Covington's American Idol audition snapshot, October '05.

And here's a TV reminder, too--Bucky's Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader appearance is just around the corner. Enjoy some laughs for a good cause as he plays to benefit the Arthritis Foundation on Wednesday, 9/23 on CMT. American Idol Rewind's look back at Season 5 begins in syndication the same week (the 26th, in most areas), but judging by this promo clip sent to TV stations, Bucky's fans may not get much of a chance to relive our great memories. (I think I might have seen the back of Bucky's head for a half-second...) If anyone's got more info on the upcoming Rewind segments, please spill!

Bucky's fans in Ocala, Florida are definitely going to see much more than a half-second of Bucky that week at the 93.7 K-Country Acoustic Concert on Tuesday, September 29th; get your ticket ($25) at the Ocala Civic Theatre Box Office, or call 352-236-2274. Jack Ingram and Chris Young will also be performing that night, and there's nothing like success today to put "rewinds" in their proper perspective, yes?

More very soon--have a lovely Labor Day weekend!
