Just in: Bucky Covington w/ZZ Top, Reading PA, 9/20 (updated with request info)

Via IdolChatterYD at TwitPic, here's Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington harmonizing at the York Fair in York, PA. Bucky returns to Pennsylvania on the 19th for the Y108 Thrillbilly Bash in Pittsburgh, and he'll be the support act for ZZ Top at the Sovereign Center in Reading on the 20th. More photos and a terrific York show review by Mark Franklin at the York Dispatch's Idol Chatter blog.

This just popped up on Twitter a few moments ago, via Hersheynative1 : Bucky Covington is listed as the support act for the Sunday, 9/20 ZZ Top show in Reading, PA, according to the Sovereign Center's site. (One heck of a bill--looks like this one's true. It's on the venue's Twitter account, as well.) More info as soon as it's available, and congrats to Bucky's PA fans on their bonus show!

Edited to add: Hey, there's been a lot to sort through here the past couple of days, so we'll add tonight's request info below. Give Bucky's single, "I Want My Life Back", a request-line round of applause at your local country station, or show him some love on your favorite syndicated host's program:

Sad to announce that Bucky and Rocky's grandmother passed away early this morning. Prayers are with the family.

  2. Our condolences and prayers are with the Covington family, as well; the RCDJ has an obituary for Mrs. Covington posted this evening. I'm so sorry to hear of their loss.

Just home from the Wayne County Fair in Wooster. Take vacation every year to get back to my roots with a roadtrip. Bucky and the band were fun! sexy! and incredible! From a silent grandstand to a house full of smilin', dancin', gettin' down and grovin' lovin' cowgirls (& boys)! -he brought the place to LIFE! Keep the faith and that guitar HOT! You've got a message to share with the world - what moves, what a voice! Thanks for finding your way to our hearts -- a new fan named Melody!
