Tonight's the big night--Bucky Covington and his band are performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville this evening, with Keith Anderson, Jason Michael Carroll, Dailey & Vincent, Love & Theft, and Opry favorite Jimmy Dickens. That is one super Tuesday Night Opry lineup! If you're not in Nashville now, catch the show on WSM's stream at 7:00 pm Central, or on satellite radio at The Roadhouse on Sirius XM.
Tomorrow, Bucky and company are the grandstand headliners at the Boone County Fair in Belvidere, IL; you can order fair tickets by phone at 815-547-4503 or by email at bcfairtickets@yahoo.com, and they'll be held for you at will call. Bucky's live show is a hot one! Check his MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and the official tour page at BuckyCovington.com for your chance to spend an evening enjoying some exceptionally high-energy country sounds...

Enjoying Bucky's sound on your radio is getting easier by the day, slowly but surely. His latest single, "I Want My Life Back" [hear it here] starts off the day at #36 on the Mediabase published charts, but what's interesting beyond that overly-familiar number is the fact that the bullet beside it has been steadily growing lately. Could the long-awaited end to that traffic jam on the country Top 40 finally be at hand? It sure looks that way--and we couldn't be more pleased. Be sure to celebrate with a call to your local country station's request line today, and let Larry K at WKML know you're excited about the upcoming Rockingham video shoot that Bucky mentioned in this interview. Write Larry at country@wkml.com to request "I Want My Life Back" for the Top 5 at 6, check out your local station's website for your neighborhood countdown, and show Bucky some love wherever you are!
Finally, a few audiovisual odds and ends round out the Tuesday morning news--we're pretty sure some new photos were added to KUBB's gallery from Bucky's Merced show since the last time we looked. (Perhaps that's the soundcheck?) I don't think we've linked to this terrific portrait by Wes Bennett at JPG Magazine before, and I'm sure I missed this fun blog post by legendary illustrator Scott Neely. We'll top it off with a belated link to Bucky's KMPS interview during the CMT Awards this spring--Bucky's funny musings on online shopping will get you smiling, and his thoughts on "I'll Walk" will get you thinking.
Have a beautiful Tuesday!--Winnie
