We'll kick off today's post with a bit of good news at Mediabase--Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back" moved up a notch to #35 on the published chart this morning, with a growing bullet. (We definitely have some sweet momentum to work with here...see you on the request lines!)

Bucky's current single was a beautiful part of last night's Grand Ole Opry show--he also sang "I'll Walk" and "Giants" (a stunningly appropriate--and fun--choice for the Opry stage) to an appreciative and vocal Tuesday Night crowd. Those who listened in on WSM heard the screams! We'll post archive audio info and/or links as soon as they're available--and we're also hoping for some photos (please!) from that Opry performance, too. Stay tuned...

In the meantime, the tour bus is rolling along. Bucky and his excellent band play the Boone County Fair in Belvidere, IL this evening, and a classic late-summer night's fun is guaranteed. On Saturday, Bucky and Jessica Harp are the featured performers at the WSLC Star-BQ in Salem, VA.

Summer may be winding down, but there's lots more of Bucky Covington's tour left to enjoy, y'all--bookmark his MySpace calendar, Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and the official tour page at BuckyCovington.com and experience the joy for yourself.

And we'll close for now with a cool photo from CMT, via Twitter--Jeff Cease, Steve Cook, Bucky and Ducky Medlock stopped in at the CMT offices before the Opry yesterday afternoon and did an acoustic set for the channel. Now that we know a few things about the coming video for "I Want My Life Back"--including that planned on-location shoot in Rockingham--we're even more excited about seeing it on CMT and GAC as soon as possible.

Today's chart hop is an inspiration, as is this shot. Here's hoping that between the word-of-mouth fan buzz, Bucky's stellar Opry perfomance and our impressive presence on the request lines this week (ahem!), "I Want My Life Back" moves to its rightful place up the charts, and Bucky's music video moves to its rightful place on our TV screens. (It'll be a pleasure to return to the thrills of voting on Power Picks and Top 20 Countdown again...)

Have a terrific Wednesday, everyone!--Winnie
