Quick Wednesday news: Bucky Covington and California nights...

Bucky Covington soaks up some sun during his performance at Country Jam USA in Colorado; thanks to the very kind Diver for providing this terrific concert photo.

Be sure to bookmark Buckytown USA's concert sidebar and Bucky Covington's official tour page for updates, and hang on tight--it's going to be an exciting live and loud summer!

Judy Lang caught this great shot of Ducky Medlock, Steve Cook and Bucky Covington between songs at the KJJY Big Country Bash--thanks again to her for sharing!

On your radio, "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] is looking even better than its #33 chart spot would indicate today. First of all, the superstar polevault it suffered overnight didn't knock it off its perch, and second, that sweet red bullet is growing bigger. The song is catching on, y'all...slowly but surely, in much the same manner as "A Different World", which, if memory serves, also spent a little time hovering at the door of the Top 30 before hitting the heights. "I Want My Life Back" will catch on even faster as we keep hitting those local request and voting lines--the more our friends and neighbors hear it, the more they'll like it...

As for WKML's "Top 5 at 6"...well. Bucky held the dreaded "silent" spot on last night's countdown, but there's no time like now to start a new countdown streak, yes? Write to write our good friend Larry K at country@wkml.com and request "I Want My Life Back", then be sure to ask your local DJ for Bucky, too.

Will wind it up for now with a repeat link to that gallery at WMAD/96.3 Star Country--meet and greet shots from Bucky's acoustic show in Madison are posted, and we're looking for more souvenirs from recent shows to share with you soon. Have a beautiful Wednesday!--Winnie
