Bucky Covington sings "I'll Walk" at the Alameda County Fair, while a fan takes a photo; thanks again to the very talented Minnie for this great concert shot! Click the image to see more from her beautiful gallery.
After a relaxing day off, Bucky Covington and his band are set to grace another California stage tonight--they're the Opening Day headliners at the Santa Barbara County Fair in Santa Maria, CA at 8 pm, and admission to the fair on this special day is just a dollar. (Definitely a huge bargain!) We're still looking for news on the Gold Country Casino and Hotel show scheduled for tomorrow--if you're planning to go, be sure to call the casino at (800) 803-1911 for details on that concert in Oroville, CA. (Update: a kind reader who had tickets for this one just wrote to say that the Oroville show is indeed canceled. Ticketholders should call the number above for more information.)
Bucky's radio day is starting out well; "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] holds a bulleted #36 spot on the morning Mediabase published chart after not one but two big superstars polevaulted the newcomers in the Top 30 zone. That bullet could use some plumping-up, though--we like big bullets around here!--so be sure to give your local country DJ a call and request Bucky's latest. (Larry K at WKML is happy to hear from us, too--Bucky's on a roll at the popular "Top 5 at 6" there, and it's fun to keep it going, yes? Write to Larry at country@wkml.com and ask for "I Want My Life Back", then listen to the stream at 6 pm ET for the results...)

Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington share a smile with the audience at the Alameda County Fair; photo by Minnie. Thanks again!
We'll close with a few odds and ends: a too-short-to-embed--but cool--video snippet of Bucky's impromptu cameo during a Tracy Lawrence performance at last year's Hillsdale Fair has just been posted by Jenni at MySpace (thanks, Jenni!) , and this engaging photo review of Country Jam (warning: auto-play sound) on a talented family blogger's page has a nice shot from Bucky Covington's set that day. Finally, here's another link to Jim Cruff's excellent pro shots from the Alameda County Fair show--enjoy!
Have a wonderful Wednesday--Winnie
Thanks for the shout-out Winnie
