Bucky Covington greets the Bash crowd in Des Moines in this great concert shot from Judy Lang--thanks again to her for her kindness!
A new week, a new chapter in Bucky Covington's Top 30 quest-- "I Want My Life Back" [hear Bucky Covington's new single at his MySpace] is enjoying a very leisurely but steady climb up the charts, as Rodney Ho notes in his latest American Idol Buzz blog at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. As of this morning's Mediabase reports, it's #33 with a bullet--but that bullet is in major, major need of a good plumping-up. That's where we come in! Now's the time to call in all those favors...remember those country radio-loving friends and family members who like Bucky's new tune, too? Feel free to remind them to join you on your local station's request lines this week--every call and email helps, and those "Top X at X" and "lunchtime café" shows are even more fun when your favorite song is on the air. (Several superstars have new single releases coming up this week and next, and we'll want to give Bucky's tune as big a boost as possible...)
Jeff Cease, Ducky Medlock, Steve Cook and Bucky Covington on stage at the KJJY Big Country Bash; thanks to Judy Lang for capturing this one.If you'd like a little more inspiration to make that call, how about a nice (and hot) live show? Our Sunday afternoon post detailed Bucky's upcoming California sweep, and while much of the summer finds the tour bus rolling out West, there are a few shows coming up in the Eastern US in August and September. Among those dates: the Chemung County Fair in New York on August 5th, sponsored by 99.5 WOKN (listen for ticket giveaways!), and the Fayette County Fair in Dunbar, PA on August 6th, sponsored by Froggy 101. Bucky's full concert schedule is just a click away, and it's a smart move to make those plans early. Have fun!
Finally, if you haven't been to Buckytown USA this morning, head on over there now--Fran and Renee have a beautiful update chock full of info, photo links and more. Huge thanks to the Buckytown crew for making Monday mornings so much brighter.
More soon!--Winnie
