Just an add-on to the previous post--the first review of Bucky Covington's new single, "I Want My Life Back", is a big ol' thumbs-up. From the CMT Blog:...Bucky Covington’s just the guy. When you throw his rich drawl into this message of pining for the past, as he does on his new single “I Want My Life Back,” it sounds so heartfelt that I can hear the yearning in his voice. He seems to have really mastered that throaty Kid Rock sound on this latest tune. Plus, any time you open a story with a guy who has holes in his shoes and is pouring whiskey in his coffee, it is hard to resist.
No resistance here! Keep your radio on and stay tuned--looks like an exciting spring's unfolding...
(Edited to add the first trade ad for Bucky Covington's "I Want My Life Back"--thanks to Buckyflowers for the tip. Edited--link now goes to Bucky's official MySpace, where the song has just been added. Listen and enjoy!)
Seems I cannot resist the impulse to post the news, blog closed or not...sigh. But I am really diggin' this new buzz about Bucky's next hit...fun times. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I am diggin' finding you here!! I just saw the first ad for IWMLB with a link to the song and it sounds great. It is on page 7 at the bottom of Lou Helton Country Aircheck that I get via email. I know you can reproduce this ads and just wanted to give you the opportunity to do so if you got that email.
ReplyDeleteBuckyflowers loves having you write about Bucky and his new single.
Hey, Buckyflowers! Thanks for the tip on the ad and for your kind words--you're right, the CA trade ad is very cool indeed and I'll find a way to get it posted here! Hoping the song will be available at Bucky's MySpace soon...
ReplyDelete(Bet it's lovely where you are-we're freezing still up here! Good to see you. :)
Thanks for posting the CA trade ad. I could not and I knew you always could do magic here. Miss you very, very much.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the link, Buckyflowers! Just redirected the graphic to MySpace--looks like the song's loaded in the player and sounding great.
ReplyDeleteYou are making me blush--thanks for your kindness.
Between Bucky's excellent pro team, the talented fan bloggers and site owners that have come up during the past couple of years, and the experience we've all gained from Bucky's first three hit singles (requesting, voting, enjoying) this place is sort of a historical relic now. The past was a blast, and the future's lookin' so bright. (That is one very hummable new single he's got going!)
I'm up for yet another project and if I get it, my online free time will be sharply curtailed yet again...but I doubt I'll be able to resist posting a bit of hot news now and then. (And of course, I'll be on the request lines... :)
So good to see you as always, and I really hope we get a chance to meet again face to face at a show this year. Thank you so much for everything!
