This is it, y'all! Only a few hours left until voting for the 2008 CMT Music Awards comes to a close. It's been a wild three weeks, but one thing's clear--Bucky Covington is blessed with a truly wonderful group of people who value what he does enough to take the time out to vote, call, email, request and support him in every possible way as he travels on this musical journey. It's been fun counting down the days until the polls close, and even more fun to consider that we may be able to get Bucky's first major country music award into his hands on Monday!
All of us who've been watching Bucky's career blossom are pretty familiar with second winds and last-minute surges. (Goodness knows we've been there!) We do have a few more hours left to vote, so if there's anyone on your mailing list who might need a "nudge" or two to actually do this, please ask them to register at CMT and vote now, and be sure to give them a sweet "thank you" treat at Starbucks (or perhaps Godiva?) after Monday rolls around and Bucky's got that belt buckle in hand.
That is going to be a magical moment! Imagine the pride you'll feel...
