Quick Friday news: April 2nd on Idol, Top Ten fun continues, Poughkeepsie tonight and more...

Bucky Covington on stage in Allentown, 12/7; photo by our talented friend Aikenseeker, who had a fantastic time--thanks again for sharing this great shot!

Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" is gracing the Top Ten at Mediabase for the third straight day--it's #10 on the weighted chart and #13 on the Top 500, with two plump and good-lookin' bullets. (There is a superstar group on Bucky's heels, though--so every request this weekend means a lot! We'll keep hittin' the phones...)

Upcoming shows: Dierks Bentley, Bucky Covington and Luke Bryan rock the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, NY tonight--if there are last-minute seats to be had, you'll find them at Ticketmaster. (A lot of our talented camera-toting buddies will be at this show--stay tuned for some terrific photos and memories!) Tomorrow, the Throttle Wide Open tour hits the Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford, CT [tickets] before taking a break, then heading South again for an April 4th show at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham--snag a seat here and have fun!

Tickets for most of Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open dates are available now at Ticketmaster--check Dierks' official website for details on non-Ticketmaster events.

Rumor has it that Bucky's schedule will be even more jam-packed than ever this spring and summer--stay tuned for a concert update this weekend...

On the tube and around the net: CMT's Top 20 Countdown was graced by Bucky's video for "It's Good to Be Us" for the first time this week--kudos to all who gave it votes and cheers! Enjoy the rerun today at 2 p.m. ET, with more airtimes this weekend. (And of course, you can watch Bucky's exciting clip on demand at CMT.com.) The video's also up for five (!) airings on GAC-TV today; three have passed, but you'll be able to see Bucky's "It's Good to Be Us" on GAC again at 2:46 and 7:33 ET.

And of course, the excitement about the April 2nd edition of American Idol is high indeed! Bucky, Bo Bice and Phil Stacey will be profiled in a special segment on successful Nashville Idols, and the fanbases for all three overlap so deeply that a fierce buzz is inevitable. If you'd like to catch up with the talented (and rockin') Bo Bice before this segment airs, visit his official site, BoBice.com; and Phil's Phanatics are celebrating his great new single and upcoming Opry debut at his official MySpace.

(And if you haven't been to Country's Chatter yet, hurry over now and enjoy guest-contributor Lisa P.'s gorgeous review and photos of the Throttle Wide Open extravaganza...)

Bucky's official MySpace now boasts an official Gydget tour widget--if you have the old "beta" model, feel free to switch to this new and improved one! See the widget below, and click "get code" to add it to your MySpace or webpage:
