Very quick Sunday reminders...

Bucky Covington on stage at Coyote Joe's in Charlotte, North Carolina on 11/23; photo by the very gracious Happydays, who shares more of her great concert shots in her Photobucket album. Thanks again, Happydays!

Chart news:
Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" rounds out a full week at #19 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts this morning. (We'll keep on requesting, of course--looks like a very exciting chat week might be ahead.) A kind anonymous "elf" mentioned that Bucky got a nice shout-out from Kix Brooks on this week's American Country Countdown, where the song came in at #20 this week. Kix appearently flat-out likes Bucky ("good songs, good singer") and he added that he enjoyed his first hit, "A Different World", as well. Nice words from a superstar!

Upcoming shows: A quick reminder--tickets for Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open tour (with openers Bucky Covington and Luke Bryan) are on sale now at Ticketmaster, and that sweet bonus initimate-venue Bucky Covington headlining gig at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI on 2/22 is selling briskly--get your ticket now at www.etix.com.

On the tube and around the net: The Covington Times features a classic CMA Awards red-carpet shot, a vintage Rocky Covington portrait that'll make you smile, and a call for patience about the glacial progress of the charts today. (Good advice!) Over at the AmericanIdol.com boards, there's a celebration in progress--Bucky's Season 5 colleague Katharine McPhee married longtime boyfriend Nick Cokas yesterday in Los Angeles, with Kellie Pickler and Mandisa among the many wedding guests. Congratulations to the newlyweds! (Thanks to Ogopogo for the news.)

Vote for Bucky: More reminders--the Country Weekly "Country's Hottest Bachelor" survey is looking for a few more good voters--one vote per mail address, so recruit a friend or two! The current "Idol Madness" playoff round at Idol Thoughts is a battle, but we're giving it our all. Vote for Bucky right here, y'all.

We'll wrap things up for now with some handy video voting links--show "It's Good to Be Us" some love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.

Coming up--what might be our most important vote for Bucky, ever. Stay tuned...

Is the CMT Countdown vote a once per week, once per day, or as many times as you click sort of vote? It seems different than it use to so wanted to make sure. Thanks.

  3. Thanks and hi, Anon and Anon!

The CMT Top 20 Countdown is once per week--that's all that the sites says it counts, even though the voting form will let you vote more than that, sometimes. (The CMT Pure Country Pure 12-Pack is a separate countdown, and that one takes unlimited votes.)

And Anon 10:34, thanks for the Bob Kingsley news! This afternoon's Mediabase gave Bucky a jump to #17, so maybe next week he'll be even higher. Fun to watch the momentum build!
