It's been a wild and exciting week--what better way to top it off than with a look back at a wild and exciting performance? Bucky Covington, Sarah Buxton and Trent Tomlinson are featured in tonight's encore of GAC's Riverfront Concert Series special--catch it at 10:30 p.m. ET, with a repeat at 2:30 a.m. ET and a last chance showtime of 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. (I haven't been able to see this yet, but word has it there are several familiar fan faces in the audience, too...)

On the charts, Bucky's bright single "It's Good to Be Us" has some much plumper bullets at the Mediabase
weighted and Top 500 charts, where it's #18 this morning. (Looks like there might be a bit of opportunity ahead this week, as a few huge hits near the top of the chart begin their graceful trip down the list. We'll keep requesting!)

A quick look at today's other news:

Upcoming shows: Bucky and Luke Bryan are joining Dierks Bentley for his Throttle Wide Open tour, starting 2/14; snag your seat at Ticketmaster soon. On 2/22, Bucky graces the stage at the The Machine Shop in Flint, MI--ths is one of those 18-and-over, intimate-club dates that memories are made of. Hurry and get your ticket at www.etix.com!

We'll have a look at the summer fair and festival scene coming up soon--a lot of new dates have been added since our last list, and Bucky and his terrific band might be coming closer to you than you think! Stay tuned...

This one's a favorite of mine, too--many thanks to the kind reader who requested it! Click the image to see more of her gallery at her site, Bucky Fan Pics. Thanks, AmaTexMom!

On the tube and around the net: This morning's edition of
The Covington Times features a striking screenshot from the video for "A Different World", a word about "It's Good to Be Us", and a great concert snap of Bucky and Rocky Covington by the talented AmaTexMom. Take a break with Bucky's video for "It's Good to Be Us" at 11:31 this morning on GAC, and hop over to CMT.com to see Bucky capture a "golden mouse" at the very cool CMT Online Awards.

Vote for Bucky: The biggie comes first--if you haven't yet put in a good word for Bucky during the first round of the 2008 CMT Music Awards voting, register and vote right now--then ask a few (hundred) of your closest friends to do the same!

The Country Weekly "Country's Hottest Bachelor" survey is another "one email address, one vote" affair, so if you don't mind "encouraging" those same hundred buds again, go for it...

Our "Idol Madness" journey is done --congrats to Constantine Maroulis and his fans! Feel free to follow the rest of the enjoyable contest (sans Bucky) at the Idol Thoughts blog.

Click here to vote for Bucky at GAC.comAnd of course, it's always a joy to support "It's Good to Be Us"--show Bucky some love at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.

Edited to add a note from a kind Dierks Bentley fan who dropped by with a comment: "Sunday, Feb. 10 are the Grammys and [Dierks] has 4 nominations." Huge congratulations to Dierks and his fans on his multiple honors!

More very soon--have a fantastic Friday...

Dierks Bentley was on Chelsea Lately late last night . He did not specifically mention Bucky. He was on because Sunday, Feb. 10 are the Grammys and he has 4 nominations. I will be watching to see if Bucky Covington will be opening for months for a Grammy winning country star. Can't help but help Bucky!! Good luck to Dierks.

Looks like there is a consolation round at Idol Thoughts. Bucky is on that list.

  4. Hi Anon, and thanks! I looked at the Idol Thoughts site and couldn't find the consolation round--if you or someone else can point me in the right direction, I'd be happy to link it out front. (Navigation was never my claim to fame. :) Thanks!
