By request, a classic shot of Rocky and Bucky Covington from that memorable Tallahassee show in December. Thanks to Buckyflowers for sharing this amazing moment!Click the image to see more of her concert photos.
While our beloved ISP is repairing our on-and-off connection, here's a quick rundown of what's happening:
Chart news: Bucky Covington's exuberant single "It's Good to Be Us", is still #19 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts with quite respectable bullets. Could they be plumper still? Yep. This is a perfect weekend to pour on those requests! Between the slow and graceful chart drop of three superstars near the top, the ever-popular national country radio shows, the syndicated weekend countdowns, and (very important) your local DJ, there's lots of opportunity to share Bucky's song with your radio neighbors. (We've still got our eyes on that Top 10 target, and won't it be fun to see "It's Good to Be Us" at #10 with a bullet?)
Upcoming shows: Tonight's the night in Johnstown, Pennsylvania--Bucky and his very rockin' band open the show for country superstar Trace Adkins, and the place is bound to get wild. If you're local, stop in at the War Memorial Arena box office to ask about any remaining tickets, or call 1-800-243-8499 for info. (Just got word that this show will be covered by a conference call tonight--thanks to Hildi and Debbie for making it happen! Stay tuned for deatils...)
Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open tour begins on 2/14 (tickets for all but one show are on sale now at Ticketmaster) and that very hot-ticket The Machine Shop stop in Flint, MI on 2/22, is selling fast, so if you're thinking of going, act now! Machine Shop tickets are available online at www.etix.com, or locally at Busted Knuckle Underground Clothing (5880 State St. in Saginaw) or the venue box office.
Bucky Covington and Rocky Covington wowed the crowd in York PA last week; photo by the very kind Cathy Anne. Click the image to see more. Thanks so much!On the tube and around the net: Two of Bucky's talented fans have some excellent reading for you this morning! Cindy Wright interviewed Mark Miller for Associated Content, and Bucky was one of the topics they talked about--you can read the article here. Cathy Anne's "Inside Scoop" article and photos from the set of Jason Michael Carroll's appearance on Good Morning America are available now at Gone Country Magazine.
Today's edition of The Covington Times features a sweet "blast from the past" shot (and yes, I still really miss the hat!), a great photo of Rocky Covington taken in York by Cathy Anne, and a link to her Photobucket gallery from the show. Be sure to read their excellent suggestions for the official forums, too.
And over on YouTube, here's a snippet from Rascal Flatts' Country Countdown USA guest-hosting gig last weekend--listen to hear what they had to say about meeting Bucky during his Idol days..
Vote for Bucky: The Country Weekly "Country's Hottest Bachelor" survey has a brand new link and an update about some non-bachelors who are still on the ballot but out of the running--be sure to give Bucky a boost over there. (Judge/fl wrote yesterday to remind us that it's one vote per email address, y'all--so blow the dust off those email boxes, and tell a friend or two, or many...)
Laurianne passed on the good word about Bucky's win in the most recent "Idol Madness" playoff round at Idol Thoughts, but be prepared--the next round is live now and this time he's up against a very popular opponent! Vote for Bucky right here and pass along that link--upsets are our specialty...
We'll wind down with those video voting links--show "It's Good to Be Us" some affection at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and at CMT's Top 20 Countdown. CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack ballot is wobbly again as I write this, but keep trying...
More very soon--enjoy your Friday!
hi Becky here I still don't have sound so could you tell me what Raskel flatts said please
ReplyDeleteHi Becky--sorry I misssed you last night! The guys from RF basically said that Bucky was a great guy, the kind of person you really wanted to root for when he was on Idol, and that they thought he was a "good ol' boy" and were happy abut his success. (They also joked that maybe he'd have gone farther in the competition if he had sung a Rascal Flatts hit! :)
ReplyDeletethankyou so much sooner or later i get a new computer Becky
