It's the night before Bucky Covington and his excellent band open the show for Trace Adkins in Lowell, Mass, and if you're looking for a seat on Ticketmaster, today might be your lucky day! Looks like some good ones were released this morning; a quick check just now showed some 12th row seats available. Bucky and Trace are a combination you won't want to miss if you're in the vicinity, so keep shopping--and fingers crossed for a fantastic seat for you...
Just announced (and also very likely to sell out) is a small-club date squeezed between two big-venue Dierks Bentley Throttle Wide Open shows. Bucky will play at The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan on Friday, February 22, with tickets on sale now at www.etix.com. This is an over-21 nightclub show sponsored by 98FM-KCO in Flint, and capacity is limited to 500, so make that move right away!
Here's the rest of what's happening this morning:
Chart news: "It's Good to Be Us" holds on strong at #19 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts, with healthy bullets on each. Momentum is on our side, and requests are the way to keep it going--both the local "Top X at X" and the nationally syndicated country radio shows could use a bit of Covingtonian content tonight...

On the tube and around the net: Your next chance to see that CMT Online Awards Nominee Report happens at 2:00 a.m., but non-nightowls might want to wait for the 11:30 a.m. repeat tomorrow. There's no showtime for "It's Good to Be Us" listed at GAC today, but there is a way to help make it a part of this week's Top 20 Country Countdown...just click that banner below!
Online, radio station 93.7 The Bull in St. Louis has a 13-photo gallery of shots taken during Bucky's recent concert performance and studio visit. (Click the shot of Bucky performing to view the pop-up gallery.) Bucky was in town to film a segment for the local St. Louis Country show; it's scheduled to air on February 2nd at 11:35 pm on KMOV. The Covington Times features a beautiful Foothills concert photo by Janie and a great shot of Rocky Covington dancing up a storm by Catbird, along with a link to a terrific info page on Bucky that you might have missed.
Vote for Bucky: The Country Weekly "Country's Hottest Bachelor" survey is sure to be a hotly-contested title, so vote now and enlist a friend or two to help! "It's Good to Be Us" could use some affection at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and CMT's Top 20 Countdown. CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack ballot is back up, but the date still reads "January 25th". Votes do seem to be going through, though so make one of those yours...The "Idol Madness" playoffs at Idol Thoughts are still in progress (vote for Bucky here) , and the "help Bucky choose his next radio single" poll is in the homestretch--make your choice now!
