Very quick Tuesday news: chart battles and quiet times...

By request, Bucky Covington strolls the stage at the KNCI Country in the Park concert in Sacramento in a terrific shot by Minnie, who shares more of her gorgeous images from the performance in her must-see Photobucket gallery. Thanks again, Minnie! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered through his official site or via his official fan club.

It's the Tuesday before Opry night, and all is calm--for now. Saturday, 1/12, Bucky Covington appears at the 1:00 Backstage Garage Pass session of Nashville's Sound and Speed event (tickets here), and The Covington Times has a bit of inside info about how all that plays out, as well as a great photo from Cain's Ballroom, and more. And of course, Saturday evening is the big Opry shebang! We'll have more info on that as it comes in; for now, a reminder to set your Tivo/DVR for Grand Ole Opry Live on GAC-TV at 8 p.m. ET, January 12th; and if you'll be listening in on online or on your XM radio, bookmark WSM (the Opry live stream begins at 6:30 p.m. Central and ends at 11:30 p.m) and Nashville - XM 11, where the show starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.

On the charts, Bucky's hanging tough at #24 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 listings again this morning--keep those requests flying! We're still on that Top 20 quest--and while the charts are very competitive this week, there's still plenty of opportunity to move on up.

Check out Pure 12 Pack on CMT.com. See show times, episodes and vote on your favorite videos. An anon commenter mentioned that the CMT airtime for Bucky's video has been less than he or she (and we) would like--this is definitely one of those times when our support for Bucky's tune on radio and our support for the video work together. It's simple and obvious but true--the more people hear the song and fall in love with it (whether that happens on the air or on the tube) the more voting/requesting/cheering hands we'll have on deck. So call and click--every little bit helps! Watch "It's Good to Be Us" now at CMT, and vote for it on GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.

Photo of Bucky on stage at Fergie's in Lebanon, KY by the very kind Buckybaby; click the image to visit her Flickr photoset. Thanks, Buckybaby!

We'll wrap up this very quiet news morning with a couple of reminders--the "which song from Bucky Covington would you like to hear on your radio next?"poll is still in progress at Bucky''s MySpace blog and his official site; if you haven't done so already, hop in and make your choice! And scroll down for the latest on two upcoming Dierks Bentley dates--we'll keep up with breaking concert news as best we can.

Have a lovely, serene Tuesday!
