Quick Wednesday news: a chart jump and a bit of a spin...

Thanks, Danna!Bucky Covington hits a soulful note on stage at the Intersection in this great shot by the very kind Danna, who was there for the Raisin' the Bar show in Grand Rapids. Thanks so much for the beautiful photos, Danna! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full versions of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

A little info-sweep for the middle of a calm week:

Chart news: Wednesday's charts are looking good--Bucky Covington's "It's Good to Be Us" jumped up a notch overnight to retake the #23 spot on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 listings as of this morning. Keep requesting! As a kind friend noted in comments, polite but steady local calls fo a song go a long way when it comes to that all-important "what to add to the playlist" decision at your favorite country station--so hang in there. That Top 20 status (coming soon!) will kick things into high gear, too--getting Bucky's tune over that line will be a huge help.

And if your station's already playing Bucky's tune, be sure to give them some positive feedback! (They do like to know when they're pleasing you...)

Upcoming shows: The recent announcement at B-100 about the 2/28 South Bend concert caused a bit of a spin--when conflicting info hits the wires (it happens) it's best to bookmark both the Tour page at Bucky's official site and the radio station or venue site and stand by for further information. As both Bucky's list and the B-100 page state,
all dates are subject to change; and while concert details may be confusing at times this early in the year, the good news is that Bucky's very much in demand and the tour schedule's getting busier by the moment. Chances are good that you'll be able to see him in 2008, no matter which part of the country you're living in! We'll keep you posted here, too--stay tuned for more.

Check out Pure 12 Pack on CMT.com. See show times, episodes and vote on your favorite videos. On the tube and around the net: Bucky's video will air at about 2:37 ET on GAC-TV; but naturally, we can vote for it anytime! Watch "It's Good to Be Us" at CMT, and show Bucky some affection at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown, and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack. (Today's the last day for 12-Pack voting this week--be sure to get your clicks in soon! It'll help pass the time before that exciting televised Opry show on Saturday night...)

The fun continues at The Covington Times, where a wonderful very vintage video is in the spotlight today; and a great "blast from the past" photo album awaits you at Music News Nashville, where a gallery of shots from last year's Safe Haven benefit somehow snuck by us. (You'll remember their New Artist Spotlight piece on Bucky from last year, too.)

More soon--have a wonderful Wednesday!
