A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club. Here's a quick sweep of the news for this Tuesday morning:
Upcoming shows: Bucky Covington is part of some very hot tickets this winter--his upcoming dates with Trace Adkins and his spot on the "Throttle Wide Open" tour with Dierks Bentley are sure to put him in front of some very large--and enthusiastic--bigger-venue crowds. There was a lot of pre-show buzz in Missouri, as the Farmington Daily Journal reports; box office tickets for the 2/29 Dierks Bentley concert at the Civic Center went on sale at 9:30 a.m. that day, and as Civic Center Director Bill Towler promised earlier this month, some excellent seats were on offer for those who braved the cold and the wee hours for a good spot in line. (The son of a "die-hard fan of Bucky Covington" was mentioned in the piece--if you're reading this, congratulations on your close-up view!)

Thanks again!Mr. Towler also told the Daily Journal that he thinks this'll be a sell-out...so if you're thinking of going, hop over to Ticketmaster and snag your seat now. And some last minute seats may be left for the Pullo Performing Arts Center in York PA on January 25 (tickets here). Bucky opens for Trace Adkins at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA on 1/31 (see ad in sidebar) On 2/1, he'll open for Trace Adkins in Johnstown, Pennsylvania ; tickets can be purchased at the War Memorial Arena box office (ticket request form available here) or charge by phone at 1-800-243-8499. The local number is 536-5156.
Chart news: The good news is that "It's Good to Be Us" is still #20 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts today. The other news is that it's got an "invisible bullet" on that weighted chart, and with room finally opening up at the top, there's an opportunity forming that we really, really want to take advantage of, y'all. I know I nag every day about the importance of requesting, but it's crucial today and tonight--call up your local DJ, vote on those "Top X at X" countdowns, call Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen , Danny Wright All Night, After Midnite tonight...we've got a wonderful song to support, and it needs a little extra lovin' to move back into positive territory. (It's a fairly small hurdle to jump over, too; if just 20 or so of the shy people reading these words make a successful request, Bucky's bullet could be back in business. We can do this!)
On the tube and around the net: Good news for those with DirecTV--if you missed that "The 101" Sawyer Brown concert featuring Bucky as special guest, you'll be able to relive the summer fun this week. A kind reader reports that it'll air on the following dates and times: Wed. 1/23 - 8 pm, Thu. 1/24 - 11 am, and Fri., 1/25 - 1 am and 5pm. (Many thanks to flyboy6214 for the news.) GAC Nights' Sound and Speed coverage starts tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET , with re-airings this week--be sure to catch it if you can.
If you liked Herb Sudzin's excellent video interview with Bucky and his chat with Bucky's tourmate Cole Deggs, you might enjoy completing the Raisin' the Bar tour set with Mr. Sudzin's Jason Michael Carroll interview (link updated), available on YouTube now. The Covington Times has beautiful smiling concert shots of Bucky and Rocky Covington posted this morning (with links to lots more), and a link to a "video of the day" that'll get you moving for sure. You can check out the whole news piece on Bucky's awesome Zippo sponsorship deal at Team Covington now, and Sunscreen's been busy with beautiful updates at the Bucky Truck Stop, too. Finally, scroll down for a little tech-present from me to you!

Ever have one of those snowy weekends when you're stuck indoors and you get too clever for your own good? A bit of web surfing led me to Gydget.com, where I proceeded to register and whip up the snazzy Flash tour widget you see above. (I hope you see it above, anyway!) Trouble is, it's way too big for my sidebar. If you'd like to use it on your website or MySpace profile, click the blue "Grab It" button to get the code, and enjoy. Hope it works well for you...and if you don't see it, please let me know in comments and I'll try to find a way to link to a working model. (Edited to thank the kind people at Gydget for some much needed tech help. You can snag the code for two versions of the gydget--one wide, one narrow--right here, and if we're MySpace friends, look for a bulletin soon...)
We'll wrap things up with those handy voting links--Bucky's video for "It's Good to Be Us" deserves a round of mouse-clicking applause! Watch it at CMT, and give Bucky some Top 20 lovin' at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown, and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.
More very soon--have a terrific Tuesday!

I got to stop checking mediabase every morning....Seems to be how well Bucky is doing or not doing affects my whole day.
ReplyDeleteSo today im a little down, we all need to work a wee bit harder to get that bullet back. TOP 10 Y'ALL....
Anon, I know how you feel--it's always a little disappointing to wak up to a bulletless listing! But we can definitely make up some good ground today with some new requests--Top 10 is on our agenda for sure. Take care! :)
ReplyDelete:( Do you think he is just being a gentleman and letting the super star he is opening for next week go ahead of him...any explanation will help me right now..;(
ReplyDeleteBullets and audience tend to fluctuate - a negative 14 bullet is nothing to panic about. If he keeps consistently losing spins and audience over a sustained period, that's a different story.
ReplyDeleteHe had three adds...those numbers from the adds will show up in the spins soon...and all will be well....he is still on his way to top 10 I would say. :)
ReplyDeleteHey! Sorry I missed everyone last night (had a fun evening wiping some spyware off my PC) but I just wanted to say that I'm so with that Top 10 target--it really is an attainable next goal.
ReplyDeleteThe adds this week are a very good sign, as is the fact that he's officially Top 20 as of today's Radio & Records chart. Take heart! :)
