This one's headed to our "most requested" list! Bucky Covington gets lost in the music (top) and rocks out with the talented Caitlin Evanson (scroll down) in two beautiful concert shots taken at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville by our good friend Trish. Thanks again, Trish!
There's a very good reason for Bucky Covington fans to stay tuned to our local country radio stations this winter (and to join those loyal listener mailing lists, too)--with Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open tour gearing up for its Gainesville debut on Valentine's Day, a lot of stations are giving away freebies, goodies and extras. Yesterday, this notice of a weekend ticket giveaway at Detroit's WYCD hit our inbox; chances are good that if Dierks, Bucky and Luke are headed your way, you'll be able to snag some goodies from your hometown station, too. Sign up, log in, and keep listening!
Chart news: While you're doing all that listening, it's more likely than ever that you'll hear Bucky's fun single "It's Good to Be Us"--the tune is still #20 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts, but the bullet beside it keeps getting plumper and plumper at a steady, delightful pace. (See, our requests really do make a difference!) The syndicated weekend countdowns should offer a nice airtime boost as well, and we'll be ready to help that momentum build this week. Top 10's our next target--it'll be a lovely thing to see, indeed...
Caitlin Evanson and Bucky Covington on stage at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. 11/17; beautiful photo by Trish. Thanks again!Upcoming shows: The arena-sized excitement is growing! Bucky and his rockin' band are making two stops with Trace Adkins--at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell, MA on 1/31 [tickets here] and at the War Memorial Arena in in Johnstown, PA on 2/1. They're the first in a series of high-profile shows that'll have them in front of huge crowds through April. All but the tickets for the Dierks Bentley show in West Lafayette, Indiana are on sale now. (The Elliott Hall show seats are on sale Friday, February 15 at 10 am at Ticketmaster.) We'll try to keep up with the latest in availablility and other news--stay tuned.
On the tube and around the net: Scroll down a post to get the link for Aikenseeker's video of Bucky and Rocky Covington's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", fresh from the Pullo Center on Friday--enjoy! The Covington Times has a handy rundown of some Covington-centered stops on the net (thanks for the kind shoutout!) along with two truly fun photos of Bucky and Rocky by CatBird. And naturally, that AmericanIdol.com Season 5 photo thread is growing by leaps and bounds--guaranteed you'll see a lot of photos of Bucky, on stage and off, that you've never seen before. A must-visit!
Vote for Bucky: Show Bucky some mouse-clicking affection at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown and at CMT's Top 20 Countdown. CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack is still having technical difficulties this morning, but please check back! The "Idol Madness" playoffs at Idol Thoughts are goin' string (vote here) , as is the "help Bucky choose his next radio single" poll at his official site.
Finally, a couple of notes about the site you're currently perusing--the search engine news alerts have been coming in pretty late recently, so we added a Feedburner email subscription box to the sidebar. If you subscribe, you'll get the newest Buckymania posts delivered right to your inbox in a wink. And after almost two years online, we were finally able to grab a domain name while the cybersquatters slept. No need to change your bookmarks at all--the address you see above will work fine--but if you'd like to tell new fans where to find us, feel free to give them the much easier to remember address Buckymania.net. (And thanks!)
Updated to add a link to another great York concert video download link from Aikenseeker--snag Bucky Covington's "Bible and the Belt" right here. Many thanks again to Aikenseeker for the awesome clips!
More soon--have a beautiful Sunday, everyone...
Winnie, when I clicked on Buckymania.net to see if it worked, it said 'error' -page not found. BTW great photos by Trish!
ReplyDeleteThe new addressed worked just fine for me. Congrats Ms. Buckymania! :)
ReplyDeleteRascal Flatts are filling in for Lon on the countdown this weekend and they were very cute talking up Bucky. :) Bucky's song is at 20 on that one. :D
And unrelated...just made me laugh...they said they sent Ronnie Dunn a case of Aqua Net for Christmas. hahaha
Hi, Anon and Anon! Thank you for testing that out...I messed up the link in the post. (Yep, my usual decaffeiinated typing errors!) It's fixed and should work now. And Trish is incredibly talented! I really enjoyed those shots, too.
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:24, I am giggling at RF and their "gift" (?!) to Mr. Dunn...something tells me it might get used, though! :) Good to know they had nice things to say about Bucky--thanks for passing that along. :)
Nice techie present with the Feedburner option, but I have a confession, I check Buckymania out way more than my email!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteAnon, awwwww...that is very flattering, indeed--thanks! :)
