Quick Friday news: live from Pompano Beach, chartgazing and more...

One of our most requested shots! Bucky Covington smiles out at the crowd in this great snap from his show at Waverly Beach in Menasha, Wisconsin; photo by the very kind Midask9, who shares more of her images from the show here. Thanks so much! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music video for "A Different World" is available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his single "A Different World" at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

The February 15th spot on Bucky Covington's official tour page has been filled--congratulations to all Bucky's fans in the Pompano Beach area! Looks like you've got a Dierks Bentley show to look forward to, with Bucky opening. Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.

And of course, the concert excitement begins again tomorrow when Bucky and his rockin' band hit the Glass Cactus in Grapevine TX, you can still snag a ticket here or at the door for this standing room only, over-21 show. (Bucky's not doing very many of these intimate-venue gigs this year, from the looks of things--if you're in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, don't miss out!)

Chart news: It's deja vu all over again at Mediabase--the a.m. stats are posted and Bucky's "It's Good to Be Us" remains a solid #20 with a bullet on both the weighted and Top 500 charts. Want to see those bullets grow? Keep those requests flying this weekend! The nationally syndicated Saturday night shows are especially important, but every request and vote counts--a lot. Top 10, y'all. It's doable...

Click here to vote for Bucky at GAC.comOn the tube and around the net: You can enjoy Bucky's video for "It's Good to Be Us" twice today on GAC-TV--look for him at about 11:34 am ET and again at 11:36 p.m. Watch "It's Good to Be Us" online at CMT.com, and vote for Bucky at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown. and CMT Pure Country Pure 12-Pack. (Yes, we're as mystified about Bucky's absence from the CMT Top 20 as everyone else...especially since he's been on the Mediabase Top 20 pretty much all week! We'll keep voting away, though--and while we're waiting, we'll keep enjoying him on the radio...)

Rocky Covington and Bucky Covington share a mic --well, sort of share it!-- at a concert in Milwaukee a few months back; photo by the very kind Midask9. Click the image to see more. Thanks again, Midask9!

There's a bit of fun on YouTube today--Bucky's part of this 10-minute celebrity interview roundup from the red carpet at the Sound and Speed Charity Auction last week in Nashville. And if you're just surfin' in from Texas and making up your mind about whether or not to go to the Glass Cactus show tomorrow, this excellent concert footage from the Billy Bob's concert in December will give you a little taste of the good time you'll have. Enjoy! (Thanks to diamondstarbc for sharing the night with us.)

We'll wrap it up with a few reminders: the "Which song from Bucky Covington would you like to hear on your radio next?"-- is still in progress at Bucky's MySpace blog and at his official site, and the Idol Thoughts blog's "Idol Madness" one-on-one challenge game is still taking votes as well--Bucky's a first-round contender. The Covington Times features a helpful breakdown of chart buzzwords this morning, along with a link to some beautiful shots by Buckyroo and an enjoyable stroll down memory lane. (If spins and bullets make you dizzy, this is a must-read!)

It's been a busy week offline, but we're finally going to tackle that Tour Info sidebar today--look for more concert updates as they happen and an updated list for 2008.

More soon--have a great Friday!
