Would someone like to tell me how Colby Callait(sp)with the video 'Bubbly' made it onto the CMT Top 20 countdown. She is not even played on Country radio. And as you guessed Bucky did NOT make the Top20 again. Im thinking its useless. ADW made their countdown a few weeks after its debut on CMT. IG2BU made its debut on CMT countdown on Nov 1st, well over 2mths ago.

ReplyDeleteHi, Anon 7:22--sure wish I knew! Colbie has a huge teen following--I think they probably mobilized bigtime (although as Bunny in Atlanta mentioned earlier this week, it isn't just voting that impacts the CMT Top 20, so...?)
ReplyDeleteI am feeling just as mystified and frustrated, believe me. All I can say for sure at this point is that any voting, streaming or posting that gets the video any airtime at all--on the Top 20 or just in regular CMT programming--is still a good thing. Video airtime counts as far as Mediabase is concerned, so any interest we show is gonna be a help to Bucky.
But yes, seeing Bucky on the CMT Top 20 would be a wonderful thing. Sigh...
