Monday news: After Midnite contest, a WalMart surprise and a photo blast from the past...

By request, a classic shot from a classic concert! Mike Clifton of Local Sports Online was on hand for Bucky Covington's concert at Wild Bill's in Atlanta in June, and his stunning gallery of shots from the show is an absolute must-see. Thanks again to Mr. Clifton for his incredible images--his contact info is available at the gallery link, and his beautiful work speaks for itself. Enjoy! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full versions of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Monday begins with a great contest at Blair Garner's After Midnite that you'll want to get in on right away! From the show's site:

Enter to Win a Bucky Covington Autographed Motorcycle Jacket and 200cc Mototcross Bike!

Grand prize includes:

  • Bucky Covington Autographed Motorcycle Jacket
  • All Road 200cc 4-stroke Motor Cross Bike
The sweepstakes began at 12:00 am Eastern Time this morning and ends at 11:59 pm Eastern Time on January 13, 2008. To be entered in the drawing, you'll have to win any of the After Midnite contests during the week--fortunately, there are plenty to choose from.

Head over to the site for full details on their many chances to win, tune in to After Midnite every night this week, request "It's Good to Be Us" while you're listening (you knew that was coming) and good luck!

Click here to see Bucky Covington's video, It's Good to Be Us, on CMT Loaded Chart news: The Top 20 quest continues, and Bucky's single starts the week at #24 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts. Can"It's Good to Be Us" hit the Top 20 before Bucky's Grand Ole Opry performance on the 12th? It's a doable goal, and well worth aiming for-- keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country stations, and keep Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen, After Midnite and Danny Wright All Night in mind, as well as giving your local DJ a call during those request hours and "Top X at X" countdowns...and course, show the video some love, too! Watch "It's Good to Be Us" at CMT, and give Bucky some affection at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown, and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.

Around the web and on the tube: The "favorite American Idol album of 2007" poll at Rickey.org and the Country Music song battle of the week at About.com both end today--last chance to let your opinion be heard. And the very important question, "which song from Bucky Covington would you like to hear on your radio next?", needs your input, too--head to Bucky''s MySpace blog and his official site to have your say. The Covington Times features a big, bright photo of Bucky in full motocross gear from the set of the "It's Good to be Us" video and links to a very cool "freebird", and Team Covington's got the After Midnite news plus a gorgeous video player, too.

Bucky Covington reaches for the stars in a great shot from the Billy Bob's Texas Raisin' the Bar concert on 12/01; photo by the very kind Honky Tonk Woman. Thanks so much!

Here's a cute story from our friend Willa, who was one of the very first Bucky Covington fans we met online--head over to the Celebrity Cafe to read about how she and her daughter "ran into" Bucky this weekend...

Finally, a little blast from the past--enjoy a fun album of shots from Bucky's radio tour early in '06. Looks like whether it's a small crowd of lucky radio station winners, or a big arena full of Dierks/Trace/Luke/Bucky fans, he'll give it his all. Check out our Tour Info sidebar and make plans to see Bucky and his excellent band live in 2008--you'll be very glad you did...

More soon--enjoy your Monday!
