Wednesday news: CMA Awards rebroadcast, post-holiday chart gazing and more...

You asked for it! By many requests, Bucky Covington goes electric on stage at Uncle Ron's in Lincoln, Nebraska, 11/28; photo by our talented friend Janie, who shares more great concert shots in her Photobucket gallery. Thanks again, Janie! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos for "It's Good to Be Us" and "A Different World" are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

A quick look at the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts today reveals...well, almost nothing. Many--if not most--country stations switched to an "all-holiday music" format for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and just about all of the Top 30 suffered dramatic (but temporary) setbacks as a result. The only three Top 30 artists who were spared a bullet-free morning were Kenny, Carrie and Taylor (the latter for a Christmas song.) And with syndicated year-end "Best of 2007"-style countdowns coming up in a few days, things will look strange again soon...

What's a devoted Bucky Covington fan to do? Well, we'll keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us", naturally, and we'll keep voting for the video at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown and CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack. (If you missed yesterday's GAC once-daily vote, this is a perfect day to email a friend and ask them to leave you--and Bucky!--an after-Christmas stocking-stuffer in the form of a well-placed click...)

Join in Country Music's Biggest Night at the 41st CMA Awards. See nominees, photos, news and more. And tonight, we'll curl up in front of the set with a leftover or two and enjoy a blast from the recent past. The 41st annual CMA Awards will be re-aired on CMT today at 2:00 PM ET, and tonight at 8 p.m. Enjoy Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll and Luke Bryan as they present the Vocal Group of the Year award to Rascal Flatts in a very stylish manner, indeed.

Bucky's next concert stop promises to be quite a wild time! There still may be tickets available for the US99 New Year's Eve Ball with Bucky, Luke Bryan and headliner Keith Anderson, but the big day is approaching soon...

Oh that first shot is fabulous! Bucky is such a rock star as well as such a cute country boy! Two for the price of one! ;)

    Thank you Ms. Buckymania!

  2. You're very kind, Anon, but Janie is the one to thank! Gotta love that shot--and apparently a lot of people agree with us. :) Thanks for dropping by!
