Quick Tuesday news: Music City Madness 2, "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" hits the Top 100, Dierks Bentley's tour and more...

Bucky Covington on stage at the Blind Horse Saloon in Greenville, 11/24; photo by the very kind Happydays, who shares more great concert shots in her Photobucket gallery. Thanks so much, Happydays! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos for "It's Good to Be Us" and "A Different World" are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

It's almost time-- Music City Madness 2, hosted by Bucky Covington, will debut at 10 a.m. ET today on CMT. Bucky's your guide to CMT's online search for the best unsigned country act in America--and if you had a chance to see his wild "CMT Outsider" segments at the channel's site, you know that these recaps are bound to be "madcap" indeed! The fun gets underway soon--check here for additional airdates, and enjoy...

Bucky's rocking take on "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" has officially hit the market today (we found the digital single for sale at WalMart Music a few days early) and it's already looking like a radio hit, too--it's just taken the #99 spot on the Mediabase weighted chart. If your local country station is spinning lots of musical holiday cheer right about now, be sure to put in a request for Bucky...it'll make that wrapping paper and tape routine that much livelier. You can hear Bucky's holiday gift at his MySpace right now, and it's just been added to the offerings at Yahoo Music. News of Bucky's Christmas single is also gracing some prime front page real estate on AmericanIdol.com--where the "making of" clip about Bucky's new video for "It's Good to Be Us" is the third most watched video on the site. (Big thanks to our anonymous commenters for updates!)

Bucky Covington and Trent Tomlinson's many mutual fans will be happy to know that Trent's also got a Christmas treat for us--visit Trent's MySpace and enjoy his take on the Alabama classic "Christmas in Dixie".

With only four more dates to go, it's clear that the Raisin' the Bar tour is a smash, and for good reason-- looking at Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs & the Lonesome's upcoming schedules, it's clear that chances to see them in these wonderfully intimate settings will be few and far between. This tour is likely to be our only chance to see them all together in a rockin' cozy venue. Wish I could be there for one of the following shows-- if you can, go!

December 5 Northern Lights Clifton Park, NY [tickets]
December 6 Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse Burgettstown, PA [TM]
December 7 Crocodile Rock Café Allentown, PA [TM]
December 8 Rams Head Live! Baltimore, MD [tickets]

The news of Bucky's opening spots on the spring leg of Dierks Bentley's Throttle Wide Open tour is still hazy at this time; what we do know, via CountryHound.com, is that he'll be joining Dierks for some dates in February. Some of Dierks' and Bucky's mutual fans have mentioned the fun "pit pass" arrangement at the Throttle Wide Open shows for fan club members--sounds like the both singers already have that "appreciation for the fans" thing down pat...

We'll wind things up with a chart glimpse and a couple of reminders--Bucky's hot single "It's Good to Be Us" is holding on strong at #29 on both the weighted and Top 500 charts again today--looks like a leap might be imminent. The bullets are still looking good! Keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station, keep supporting Bucky on those local "Top X at X" countdowns, and if your listening area's blessed with one of those great syndicated shows in the evening, call or email your favorite host and ask for him there, too.

Check out CMT's Top 20 Countdown on CMT.com. See show times, videos, photo galleries and moreWill Bucky's video make its debut on the CMT Top 20 Countdown this week? It's very likely--if you haven't put in your weekly vote at the show's poll yet, feel free to hop on over there now, and we'll all tune in on Thursday to see how he's doin'. In the meantime, we can always watch the video at CMT, and vote for "It's Good to Be Us" at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at the GAC Top 50 Videos of the Year poll and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.

More later--have a beautiful Tuesday!--Winnie
