Last night's show at the Joyland in Bradenton was a huge party, by all accounts--word has it that Bucky added "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" to the set. It was the first live performance this year of his current digital holiday single (now available at WalMart Music, Yahoo Music or iTunes--ahem) and it was a big hit with the crowd. If you're anywhere in or near the Tallahassee area tonight, go! A Bucky Covington live show is a perfect way to rev up a Saturday night; add a little Christmas cheer to the mix and you've got an unbeatable evening of fun.
For those of us who are (sadly) nowhere near Bucky's concert this evening, there's always the option of hearing both "It's Good to Be Us" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" on those lovely syndicated radio shows--and tonight a request to Lia, The Big Time with Whitney Allen , Danny Wright All Night, After Midnite or your favorite syndicated show could make a big impact! Bucky's lookin' good at #25 on the Mediabase weighted chart and #26 on the Top 500 charts this morning--but those bullets could use some major plumping up. A phone call or two from us to our favorite DJs is a sweet musical gift to our neighbors--and to our favorite new country singer, for that matter...
If today's a cozy day at home, you'll have a chance to spend a little of it with Bucky, too-- at 3 p.m. ET and again at 9 p.m., GAC re-airs Christmas at the Tennessee, the 2006 holiday special featuring Deana Carter, Julie Roberts, Blue County, Steve Azar and Bucky Covington, with comedian Henry Cho. Enjoy!
Bucky's debut hit single "A Different World" is still eligible for votes at About.com's Country Music category Top Singles poll --it ends on 12/17, so stop in and have tyour say soon! And Bucky's video for "Its Good to Be Us" is looking for some love, as well-- watch it now at CMT, and vote for it on GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, CMT's Top 20 Countdown and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.More soon--have a happy Saturday!
