Quick Saturday news: new concert whispers, TV reminders, and more...

By request, Bucky Covington on stage at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, 11/17; photo by the very gracious Buckyflowers, who shares more of her beautiful concert shots here. Thanks again, Buckyflowers! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full versions of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Bucky Covington's official site is having tech problems this morning (it may be fine by the time you read this), but an interesting bit of news popped up in the sidebar there last night--looks like he'll be at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates, IL on February 15th, 2008. A quick peek at Sawyer Brown's schedule reveals they'll be there the same night. So far, no word on the official Sears Center site, but we'll keep you posted... (Updated 12/18: this turned out to be an error in presale bulletins. There is a Sawyer Brown concert scheduled for 2/15, but Bucky will not be present. Apologies for the confusion!--Winnie)

In the meantime, there's always the option of catching Bucky on radio--"It's Good to Be Us" is standing strong at #28 on both the weighted and Top 500 Mediabase charts, and those bullets are looking lovely, too. Keep requesting "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country stations, and remember those wonderful syndicated shows tonight, too. (Your station's in the holiday mood? Ask for Bucky's rowdy "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town", as well -it's now #100 on the Mediabase weighted chart and rising. Merry Christmas!)

The final Raisin' the Bar show takes place tonight at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore (check the venue's online box office for a last minute ticket) and the night is sure to be unforgettable in many ways for Bucky and his loyal fans. Tonight's memorable show will be covered by a conference call courtesy of the very kind Hildi and her helpers--we'll post more news about that as the day rolls on. Many thanks to Hildi , and to Bucky Covington, Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs & the Lonesome for warming up our fall and winter nights with the hottest tour of the season!

A little calmer (but definitely fun!) way to enjoy Bucky happens via your TV this weekend--catch him hosting Music City Madness 2 again today at 9:30 a.m. ET on CMT. And tomorrow, Bucky and his bluesy, sweet take on "Please Come Home for Christmas" will be part of Christmas at the Tennessee, starring Deana Carter, Julie Roberts, Blue County, Steve Azar--catch the re-run of this 2006 holiday favorite Sunday night at 8 p.m. on GAC.

Click here to see Bucky Covington's video, It's Good to Be Us, on CMT LoadedThe GAC Top 50 Videos poll is now history--we won't know which clips made the cut until later this month, but the weekly cable countdown shows provide a somewhat more instant form of gratification. Bucky's exciting video for "It's Good to Be Us came in at #3 on CMT's Pure 12-Pack and #10 on GAC's Top Twenty Country Countdown; feel free to click those links and give Bucky a boost all over again! You can always watch it at CMT, too--then give him that once-weekly thumbs up on the channel's Top 20 Countdown poll...

Coming up soon--a closer look at the coming festival season and more. Have a sweet Saturday!

    Winnie-
you rock! I couldn't figure out who Bucky was playing with on the 15th - that is going to be an awesome show if it pans out right, and within driving distance! I can't wait :)

  3. Terri and Anon, hello and thanks! Terri, ypur very kind. I can't take the credit for that one--a friend of mine noticed the Sears Center notice at Bucky's official site and passed the word along. Glad it's close to you--I am looking forward to hearing about it! Hope you'll go and please take a camera, too... :)

And Anon, two requests for that shot came in...so I have a feeling you're not at all alone in your sentiments there. :) Thanks!
