Quick Friday news: chart gazing, summer concert update and more...

By request, Bucky Covington on stage at the Blind Horse Saloon in Greenville, 11/24; photo by the very kind Happydays, who shares more great concert shots in her Photobucket gallery. Thanks so much, Happydays! Bucky Covington's debut CD is in stores now, and his music videos for "It's Good to Be Us" and "A Different World" are available for online viewing at CMT.com and Yahoo Music. You can buy Bucky's album at Amazon, Best Buy , iTunes, WalMart Music and Target, hear the full version of his singles at CMT and GAC, or enjoy samples of songs from the CD at Bucky's official MySpace. A copy of Bucky Covington can be ordered at his official site or via his official fan club.

Bucky Covington's next show promises to be a rave-up--the US99 New Year's Eve Ball with Bucky, Luke Bryan and headliner Keith Anderson was the subject of most of Bucky's online press coverage this morning, including this write-up at Lumino.com. And speaking of 2008 shows, those summer festival sites are beginning to fill in the blanks quite nicely--the lineup for the Porterfield Country Fest in Marinette, WI is now posted, and it looks fantastic. Bucky's friend Kellie Pickler, Billy Ray Cyrus, Eric Church and country icon Charley Pride are among the many top performers who'll be featured during the four day festival. Ticket info is available at their site--sounds like a winner, y'all.

See show times, episodes and vote on your favorite videos.Bucky's winning ways continue at Mediabase where "It's Good to Be Us", his exuberant current single, is holding steady at #27 on those topsy-turvy post-holiday weighted and Top 500 charts. Country Aircheck leaked the top 21 videos for GAC top 50. And Bucky was not in those. So cross you fingers and toes the Bucky appears between #22 and #38. ADW deserves to be on that countdown!

Well, that is so depressing, but hopeful, that Bucky has to be somewhere between #22 and #38. I hope we did not hurt his chances by having two songs to vote on..thus diluting his over all votes..perhaps we should have all voted for ADW.. This song so deserves this.

I don't think that voting for IGTBU diluted anything as far as ADW goes since everyone got 5 votes for different videos if they wanted. ADW was early in 2007 and IG2BU is late 2007 and both are excellent! I am thrilled that ADW is between #22 and #38..the ones # 39 through # 50 are all great videos and while top 10-top 20 would have been nice icing on the cake, ADW is going to make a great showing by being ahead of some really great other videos.

  6. Hey, all! Looks like the busy voting fingers paid off--very cool to see Bucky in the Top 50 for the year, isn't it?

(And Kathy, we are so glad that you're feeling well enough to pop in and post, whether it's a press release or a photos--seeing you is reason enough to celebrate! :)
