Friday starts off with this fun "Five Questions for Bucky Covington" article in today's Charlotte Observer. Among other things, Bucky reveals that his Coyote Joe's Raisin' the Bar concert tonight with Jason Michael Carroll and Cole Deggs & the Lonesome (tickets available here) is a return gig--sort of:

My first time at Coyote Joe's was when I was on the "American Idol" tour (in 2006). A band called LiMBO, which was actually Taylor Hicks' old band, was playing over there and we all went.

This was, of course, that legendary Coyote Joe's aftershow featuring most of the Season 5 "Idol Rat Pack"--besides Taylor Hicks' full and fantastic set with his brilliant band, Bucky did a killer "Superstition" that evening with Ace Young on backup vocals, and Elliott Yamin brought the house down with a mini-set of his own. If you're feeling retro-nostalgic, here's a vintage photo gallery to kick start your memory...

Aside from a break to record his excellent debut album, Bucky Covington (informercial alert--it's available at Bucky's official site, Amazon, Best Buy and iTunes and it makes a great holiday gift, y'all!) , Bucky's spent most of the year touring and pleasing his long-time and new fans from coast-to-coast. He'll be back on stage tonight in Charlotte, then the Raisin' the Bar tour heads to Greenville, SC before heading to the Midwest for shows in Nebraska and Missouri. Here's that list of remaining dates again--this is one amazing lineup. Bucky, Jason and Cole rocked our socks off in Nashville--now it's your turn!

Check out CMT's Top 20 Countdown on CMT.com. See show times, videos, photo galleries and moreBucky's "It's Good to Be Us" is standing tall at #31 on both the Mediabase weighted and Top 500 charts today--and just look at the size of those bullets! Does that mean some sweet momentum is building? Sure looks that way. Let's keep it going--request "It's Good to Be Us" at your favorite local or streaming country station (phone calls work better than emails) vote in those local "Top X at X' countdowns, and tune in Lia, After Midnite, The Big Time with Whitney Allen, or your own favorite nationally syndicated country radio show and give them a ring. I see some good news on the horizon...

Bucky's exciting motocross themed video for this song is worth watching over and over again--click here to see it at CMT (and show it to your co-workers and family, too!), then vote for him on at GAC's Top 20 Country Countdown, at CMT's Top 20 Countdown, at the GAC Top 50 Videos of the Year poll and at CMT's Pure Country Pure 12-Pack.

And for a bonus treat today, be sure to stop in
at Rocky Covington's official site, where his video answers to some of those great questions you asked him a while back have just been posted. Rocky's as charming--and revealing--as ever, and the answers will give you a "backstage view" of his life on the road and his good times with the bigger band, among many more topics. Thanks to Rocky for taking the time out to talk to his fans--you can also thank him right there in his guestbook, if you're so inclined. Enjoy!

Have a beautiful Friday--and be careful out there in the stores! See you later today--Winnie
